Re: 574: Radiant Silvergun

I've also only ever really dabbled with Radiant Silvergun. I did get quite into Ikaruga a couple of years ago so I'm really looking forward to playing it for the show.

Re: Games Completed 2023

How many games per year do you guys usually finish? I finished 10 games in January which I reckon was a record for me. They were mainly short games or games I had started at the end of last year.

I'm going to give it a go before the end of the week.

Those anagrams are hard! Are the anagrams themselves a clue?

Re: Games Completed 2022

I bailed on the very final level. It’s so difficult. Also, to 100% it I think you need to go through again with multiple characters.

It’s a truly wonderful game though. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Mario.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I do get it. I'm playing Dungeon Master on the Atari ST at the moment alongside Horizon Zero Dawn. It's safe to say I have to be in the right mood to switch on Dungeon Master over Horizon. :)

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I'd love to see you guys cover more late 80s / early 90s computer games. Lots from that era are now accessible with GOG, Steam etc.

Are the Eye of the Beholder games on the list?

Re: 468 - Disco Elysium

Hi all If you're planning to play or replay Disco Elysium in preparation for the episode, there is a group of us in the Playthrough podcast community that have just started playing it. I host Playthrough and we will be publishing a couple of companion podcasts. If you'd like to come and join in the ...

Nice choice Richard. I haven't got to that game yet myself but it looks right up my street.

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

I love SID chip music and I suspect I'm not the only one of a certain vintage who does. When I hear a piece of well composed SID chip music, there is a warm and fuzzy nostalgia which washes over me. The ironic thing about this selection is that it's not from a retro game. It's a game released in 201...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

This year, I've played through the entire output of Francisco Gonzalez, beginning with his very indie origins with the Ben Jordan series and culminating with the excellent Lamplight City. Francisco (also known as Grundislav Games) produces high quality point and click adventures. The quality of the ...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

I'm surprised at how little Ys music has been played on Sound of Play (at least as far as I can recall). I've recently played through the Turbo Grafx CD version of Ys Books I & II and with that red book audio, Yuzo Koshiro's original compositions really stand out. There is so much good music in ...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

In these challenging and uncertain times, people need more Mario in their lives. This is the ending them from Super Mario Bros 2, one of my favourite NES tracks. Finishing the game on real hardware is a challenge, it rewards with you with a triumphant first half of the track and then transitions to ...

Resident Evil 6 co op partner wanted

Hi all

I'm looking for a Resident Evil 6 co op partner. Sadistic I know but it's next in line and i need to play it. I suspect it will be more fun to play it with somebody.

I propose to play on Xbox 360.

Is anybody interested?
