Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I'm thinking I might start a Dark Souls 3 new game (or maybe NG+, not sure yet). Don't suppose anyone else is playing at the moment are they? (Seems unlikely, but thought I'd ask!) Did you start a game? If so which platform are you on? I started a thread on play together but didn’t really have any ...

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
Just had a glance at what PS Now is looking like at the moment, my sub having expired back in Feb this year or something. Wow there's some great stuff on there at the moment! RDR 2, Witcher 3, God Of War, Borderlands 3, Streets Of Rage 4, Nioh 2 - absolutely loads of stuff! I'd be tempted to subscr...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Yeah, the vita is a great emulation machine. The Switch isn’t so much better as it doesn’t really run games on Dolphin that well. You can get by on thousand year door but that’s about it. I’ve not tried the flycast core on Vita but it does run really well on Switch. Agreed- the Switch profiles is g...

Re: June 2021
I’m going shopping tomorrow and I’ll definitely be picking up some salad cream.
Have you (Jay and Leon) used any of the game streaming services? I haven’t used Stadia but I have used GeForce Now, PS Now and Xcloud. It’s been a good handheld experience streaming ray-traced games on a modded switch.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I missed getting it. The PS+ games haven’t excited me recently. In was waiting for Death Stranding but the upcoming directors cut makes that unlikely.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Hopefully the new base will come with more USB ports for mouse and keyboard. I need a USB hub and I’ll be able to replace my Shield TV with my switch for GeForce Now and use Mouse and Keyboard. Alex79uk- the good thing about installing custom firmware on the Switch is that it’s all handled on the SD...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I played the first 90 minutes or so of Ashen last night. It's very influenced by Dark Souls, with equivalents for the bonfires, estus flask, homeward bones and various other items. Combat feels weighty and quite satisfying. It's clearly on a much lower budget than the From games, but it's been fun ...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I bought mine from EBay this year and got it for £250 with Botw, smash and Mario kart 8. I believe the Red Mario ones are V2 so you wouldn’t be able to do it. Usually on EBay it says if they are V1 or 2 and I imagine you can ask the seller for the serial number which is an indicator. In terms of emu...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
It requires that Android be installed on the Switch which can only be done on a V1 switch.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I was pleased to see that there wasn’t a CPU or RAM upgrade as I was worried it might mean an upgrade would be necessary for BoTW sequel. I understand from what I’ve read that the current Switch can benefit from the improved dock. I love the Switch switch so much. I installed Android on it the other...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I started Divinity: Original Sin 2 on Switch yesterday. I bet it’s great but I really seemed to struggle with having the attention span for it. This is definitely a me problem.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
That’s good to know the Hori SPP is great. I suppose I just have in my mind going to one of those ball maze Shrines and not being able to do it.
I think in the US they are fixing the official Joy Cons out of Warranty but I don’t believe they are here

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I’ve been looking at the Binboks. They look great and the price is good but I’ve seen they can be inconsistent with quality. I’d like to pay £30 more and it be a premium split pro. If wishes were wings... The switch I bought is used and all the info on the Nintendo website mentions sending proof of ...

Well done. Gael was an amazing fight. Took me 25 attempts. Did you beat Midir? I can’t beat him for the life of me.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I have a pro pad but use a mayflash device to play Switch on the TV using PS4 pad (prefer stick locations) but I’m pretty much unable to use my Switch in handheld mode due to terrible drift on both analogue sticks. Has anyone had any luck with repairs or are there any recommended 3rd party joy cons?

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Wii remote works on any TV as it uses infra-red and the sensor bar, rather than the screen itself. Another way to play Wii via HDMI of course is to get a Wii U, which is 100% backwards compatible with Wii (but you lose GameCube compatibility). I have a shield and was considering buying a mayflash d...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
That’s cool. I’ve been thinking of getting a Wii. Do they work with RE4 on new TVs. I mean is that like a light gun or more similar to the motion control of Mario Galaxy on switch
