Re: Steam trading cards

I have a spare 4. Looking for 3, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Send me a trade if you can help. Keep an eye on my selection if you're trying to make the badge, I'll help you out if I can.

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

Once you hit HR6 the G-rank stuff opens up. I've not actually tried it yet, the urgent quest to get to HR6 is really difficult. Going off how it usually works with the urgent quest normally being the easiest out of the next rank, I'm sort of fearing what's to come. Getting that first set of G-rank a...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

I got my G-rank! :D I'm slightly scared at how hard the next tier of quests are going to be. I think either the Azuros or Wroggi fights are going to be the ones I hammer until I can get my foot in the G-rank armour door. Does anyone play gunner here? What are the restrictions lifted once you hit G-r...

Re: This week's podcast: Mark of the Ninja

I can't say I paid much attention to the story. It was the mechanics and the flow of the game I admire.

Re: This week's podcast: Mark of the Ninja

I had it in my steam list of shame. After throwing it out there to my twitter followers what I should play next, Gargette suggested this. What an absolutely stunning game! I loved every minute of it, especially the little mini missions within levels. It might feel badass to pull people to their deat...

Re: Microtransactions in full priced games

Sometimes I think we're entitled to the stuff we've paid for. Take Beautiful Katamari. I bought the game on release for full whack only to find something like 30% of the game is behind a paywall. How can you even begin to defend something like that? Imagine if it was the same with any other media? W...

Re: Microtransactions in full priced games

I'm not opposed to proper DLC. I am opposed to being charged for stuff that should either be in the game, or is in the game hidden behind a wall that people don't want to break down. For an example of this, look at Battlefield 3. One of the best guns for one of the classes was right at the end of th...

Re: This week's podcast: Killzone 2 & Killzone 3

You can say what you want about the Killzone games, but they sure know how to cast good voice talent in the Helghast parts. Sean Pertwee, Malcolm McDowell and Ray Winstone really make the scenes they are in. Sean Pertwee has been in a few games, most notably the Fable ones, but he totally nails the ...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

You can do it with parts collected in the running to Deviljho. The problem is the big bugger turns up as a guest monster loads before you can actually take him on, he becomes the bogey monster that Rathian once was.

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

I had it on PSP and Wii. I didn't have the pro controller so playing the game with the wiimote and nunchuck sucked all the understanding I had of what I was doing in a game where it hardly threw you a bone. Like you, I ended up throwing the towel in because it 'felt clunky'. It wasn't really until I...

Re: The 20 Best Games Of Edge's Lifetime

I know it's a few pages back, but Majora's Mask is my favourite 3D Zelda as well. I didn't get to play it until after I'd played Windwaker and OoT. It's a bit of a weird game for reasons I won't go into because of spoilers, but that reason is something I wish games would look into more.

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

I'm just short of 200 hours and just on the cusp of G-rank. I wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means, but I'm out of the 'wet behind the ears'. The scary thing is I've barely scratched the surface. There's all the arena stuff to do as well as the single player missions. I can well believe i...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread

GOTY so far for me. Since I started playing it, I've played it religiously twice a week with the same handful of people and over the months I've come to understand what a genius game it is. The problem is people see what they like when they start playing, but they don't understand why stuff is like ...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?

Netflix is pretty much all I watch. I can't be doing with having to wit for TV shows to come on and then deal with adverts as well. For £6pm or whatever it is I certainly get my value out of it.

I play daily too.

Deadly Premonition. As a game it's actually really bad. As an experience it is unparalleled.

Re: The 'I want your stuff' Animal Crossing: New Leaf thread

I dug up a spare ammonite, which I believed someone needed to finish off their fossil collection.
