Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I haven't been there yet, but just discovered this place is a 20 minute drive from my house!

Re: 378: INSIDE

It's been a while since I played Inside, and I only played it the once. Maybe it was my expectation after enjoying Limbo so much, or maybe it was the hype around the game, but it missed as often as it hit for me. For every genius ah-ha moment, there was an overly long and tedious puzzle or irritatin...

Re: Hong Kong

Thanks. It just seems baffling that in 2019 half the world still lives under such rule. I try to imagine what it would be like in China and to a more extreme extent North Korea, where everything is censored and you can be jailed for speaking out against the Government, but as a relatively free Briti...

Forgive my ignorance, I've been away for a few days and not seen or read any news - what's going on? What were they protesting?

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I've seen a couple of videos of Necrodancer, but I think don't really get what it is. I know, 'a roguelike rhythm action dungeon crawler'.

Yeah. I still don't get what it is

We watched When They See Us over the last two nights on Netflix. It's probably the best thing I've seen in a couple of years, absolutely incredible.

Re: 400: Final Fantasy XV

Has anyone played much of the pocket version of this? I'm tempted by it on Switch, and wondered how it was. I know it's pretty much the full story, save for a few side quests and a stripped back progression system.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

We're away for the weekend at a friend's caravan by the sea. Naturally we spent an afternoon wandering around the amusements on the sea front. I've lamented the fact before, but it does sadden me that 95% of the machines in arcades these days fall in to one of the following categories: - Fruit machi...

Well you've got much further than me! I think my record is level 41 or something! Seems like there might be more after level 50, like a new chapter but not sure yet. Yeah that flytrap enemy is a little cheap. It's pretty fun though, glad you enjoyed it!

That looks pretty cool - is it a new game? I could have sworn I heard the name years back.

Re: iOS and Android gaming

Been playing a fantastic little game called Archero on my mobile telephone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.habby.archero It's everything I love in a mobile game. Simple idea, simple controls, short game sessions. Basically it's a roguelike where you play an archer progressing thr...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

I realise I'm probably shouting in to an empty room here, but I don't suppose anyone has played Cricket 19 on Switch have they? I'm eyeing it up. Been after a new Cricket game for a while, but it's the kind of game that would be perfect on handheld rather than PS4. An over here, an innings there. An...

Re: Console gaming set-up (TV etc)

Yeah as Leon said you can buy HDMI cables for upwards of £50 but It's not worth it. As long as the cable supports HDMI 2.0 you'll be fine. Mine was less than a fiver. Same rule used to apply for speaker cable when I was in to home stereo stuff. You'd see gold plated stuff for like £14 a metre or wha...

Re: Brawlhalla

Picked this up again on Switch and its still a lot of fun. I was looking for couch multiplayer games we could play with the two bits of joycons and this is huge fun. I've never been in to Smash, but I must admit I'm tempted by the Switch version because it'll just be a polished version of this with ...

Re: May 2019

I had a look at that arcade you guys visited in Bury, it looks just amazing. I am a little disappointed though, as after speaking to the guy over email it turns out children are only allowed on the classic arcade floor and not the modern one. My eldest is 13, bizarrely well behaved, and would love b...

The price of Uplay+ seems a little steep when you consider Ultimate Gamepass is the same price.
