Re: Our Patreon

It's called Beyond Pod Podcast Manager for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.beyondpod It's all worked OK till today, and only seemed to have a problem with the private Patreon feed. The normal feed still works OK. EDIT: Not sure what could be causing the problem, but when ...

Re: Our Patreon

Hey - I got an email saying Patreon feed was updated with FFIX episode, but I couldn't get it to show on my feed. So, I tried deleting the feed and re-adding it but now there's an error saying it can't contact the website! I think I broke it! Is there a way of getting my Patreon feed back, and has a...

Re: What's Out This Week?

Thumper: Pocket Edition seems to have dropped on to mobile stores this week. Its pricy at over £4 but I have a ton of credit (from the Google surveys app) so took the plunge. It seems great so far, although very difficult and I'm not all together sure what I'm doing! Looks gorgeous though.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion

I'm starting a new podcast called Three Nice Things, where we watch bad movies and then have to come up with three nice things to say about it! We're recording our first episodes this weekend and want to know, can you come up with a legitimate nice thing to say about the Super Mario Bros. movie or ...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Still in soft launch, though I think getting close to global launch soon (friend of mine is working on it). It’s also not an Xbox game, it’s for mobile. Oh cool OK, that's interesting, I'll actually be able to play it then! I thought it was literally just a GoW game with the big head characters, bu...

The discless Xbox One S has been confirmed for May 7th release. £200 with three games.
"...alongside digital versions of Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft".

I feel like they could have done a little better there.

Re: Virtual Reality

Anyone interested in this all in one Oculus they're pimping all over Facebook? Seems quite cool, but I don't know what the standard of the games and stuff you can play on it are. It's still more expensive than PSVR too, it seems like they're aiming it more at people who don't already have consoles o...

Re: Retro gaming

I've been playing Castlevania Aria Of Sorrow this morning. It seems pretty good, although it's kind of basic it's got some nice ideas with using enemy skills for yourself.

Already pre loaded cuphead for switch. I’d go for final fantasy 10 on switch but only 10 is on the cart and 10-2 is a download code.
Which usually also makes buying a preowned copy pointless, as I found out on Vita.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

I must admit, I don't really keep up with Xbox news, but whatever happened to that Gears Of War funko pop spin off thing? Wasn't that announced like two years ago (or was it only last E3, I forget?) It's not actually come out or anything yet has it?

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III

Ah ha, thanks for the tip. I really ought to be more proactive in checking item descriptions!

Brume Tower really is a marvelous area though, artistically speaking. Traversing those suspended chains, and the structures are incredible to explore.

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III

The DS2 DLC is killing me. Brume tower is hell, man. Hardest areas of the game, these DLC parts. I'm midway through both the Iron King and Sunken King sections, yet to tackle the Ivory King. There's a part in Iron King where you're going down a spiral staircase with an endlessly spawning enemy who c...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

The difficult parts of Hollow Knight though were the world traversal more than the enemies I found. There were a few bosses that took me a few goes, but on the whole the only bits I got really stumped on for more than a short while was some of the more fiendish platforming.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Still making my way through DS2:SotFS. I've just reached Vendrick, and am now going to tackle the three DLC areas before pushing on to the end of the game. Currently in the Old Iron King area, which is pretty cool.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Just played a couple of hours on my sons Switch. I played a lot of Mario Kart, which was fun. First time I've managed to play a decent amount of single player. I do feel like 150cc is the way the game is 'meant' to be played. There is actually a sense of speed, and it's not as crazy as 200cc. The lo...

Re: Independent Video Game Stores

Sounds great! I've had a long held fantasy that's I'd love to open an arcade cafe some day. It'll never happen, but just one of those things I think about from time to time, imagining what cabs I'd get in and stuff. Great idea!

Re: Videogame News

Hmm yeah, not really any interest in that package (though I'm sure there will be plenty who love it) as I only really like the MetroidVania Castlevanias. A second package with SotN, the GBA games and DS games would be incredible.
