Already pre loaded cuphead for switch. I’d go for final fantasy 10 on switch but only 10 is on the cart and 10-2 is a download code.
Which usually also makes buying a preowned copy pointless, as I found out on Vita.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

I must admit, I don't really keep up with Xbox news, but whatever happened to that Gears Of War funko pop spin off thing? Wasn't that announced like two years ago (or was it only last E3, I forget?) It's not actually come out or anything yet has it?

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III

Ah ha, thanks for the tip. I really ought to be more proactive in checking item descriptions!

Brume Tower really is a marvelous area though, artistically speaking. Traversing those suspended chains, and the structures are incredible to explore.

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III

The DS2 DLC is killing me. Brume tower is hell, man. Hardest areas of the game, these DLC parts. I'm midway through both the Iron King and Sunken King sections, yet to tackle the Ivory King. There's a part in Iron King where you're going down a spiral staircase with an endlessly spawning enemy who c...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

The difficult parts of Hollow Knight though were the world traversal more than the enemies I found. There were a few bosses that took me a few goes, but on the whole the only bits I got really stumped on for more than a short while was some of the more fiendish platforming.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Still making my way through DS2:SotFS. I've just reached Vendrick, and am now going to tackle the three DLC areas before pushing on to the end of the game. Currently in the Old Iron King area, which is pretty cool.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Just played a couple of hours on my sons Switch. I played a lot of Mario Kart, which was fun. First time I've managed to play a decent amount of single player. I do feel like 150cc is the way the game is 'meant' to be played. There is actually a sense of speed, and it's not as crazy as 200cc. The lo...

Re: Independent Video Game Stores

Sounds great! I've had a long held fantasy that's I'd love to open an arcade cafe some day. It'll never happen, but just one of those things I think about from time to time, imagining what cabs I'd get in and stuff. Great idea!

Re: Videogame News

Hmm yeah, not really any interest in that package (though I'm sure there will be plenty who love it) as I only really like the MetroidVania Castlevanias. A second package with SotN, the GBA games and DS games would be incredible.

I do agree with the fundamental point you make there, however much digging it takes to find it! I think you're right, I can't see this having much legs, but happy to see people trying out new ways of delivering content - however cynical their end game might be.

I just think it was a mixture of the controller and playing it on the big HDTV. It just never quite felt the same.

I have to say, Sensi still plays like a bloody dream. Pure feel. Gu Wang is not my fave, but I appreciate it's doing something different.
Sensi is still amazing, yeah. I never got on with the Xbox 360 remake, but the Megadrive version still plays exceptionally well.

Re: Retro gaming

If it's just an "idiot tax" for people who can't work an emulator, putting the games behind a subscription fee doesn't seem like the right approach. I think that's a bit dismissive of an entire generation who may know and have good memories of these games, but wouldn't even know what an emulator is...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Sim City on the SNES. Probably still the best version of that game, it's just so good. This. I love that game, the music, the seasonal graphics the massive grant cheat, Bowser abs the scenarios. Very fond memories. Awful to go back to. Do you think? I played it for a few hours on my brothers SNES l...

Re: E3 2019 - Conference times and general chat

Hope we see some more news about either Fallout 5 or Elder Scrolls 6. Either of those games on Switch, uncompromised, would be incredible. I'm sorely tempted to pick up Skyrim when I get a Switch. The thought of an entire world in my pocket still excites me so much. I thought we were nearly there wh...

Well now I feel foolish, haha.

EDIT: No hang on, it was the first Lego Batman game I played on PS3, not the second one. Redeemed!!
