Re: 393: Shovel Knight DLC

That game was so awesome. Also the platform one you controlled with the bongos - Jungle Run maybe? I can't remember. I know I got them one Christmas along with the Bongos and had a great time!

Re: Dragon's Dogma

Oh man that's disappointing, always sucks not to be in to a game you were expecting to enjoy. Harder still when everyone else raves about it! It's happened to me loads of times, but always a disappointment when it happens.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

If I've got one criticism of Breath Of The Wild (and I have only got one at the moment), it's the combat. The combat is poor. You're never quite sure whether you're going to be able to dodge an attack, or parry quite right, and generally end up spamming attack when you get the chance. Coupled with t...

Thanks - finally managed to get him after about ten attempts! I made a little progress, but then was given a bell by a lady which upon offering to the buddah has whisked me off somewhere else! Not sure whether I'm meant to do that area now or carry on the path I was travelling, but I'm going down th...

Re: Infinifactory

Have either of you played Human Resource Machine? I think you might like it. I really enjoyed it, and it really does tax your brain. But it has all that going back and optimising side of things you seem to be getting out of this game.

Re: Dragon's Dogma

Only ever played a couple of hours of this on PS3 when it was on Plus, and for some reason bounced off it (despite loving the Souls series, Elder Scrolls and Witcher etc). No idea why, but I do know I plan to give it another try on Switch when I get round to it. Although, I'm genuinely having though...

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Thanks to an incredibly generous forum user, I got to start this game last night. Good lord its tough. I've completed every Dark Souls game, Bloodborne and Demons Souls, and I'm confident in saying this is From's most challenging yet. I'm literally only an hour or so in, I'm getting my ass kicked by...

Starlink, with toys, is now down to £12.99 for all platforms on Amazon. And I thought the £17 I paid on Switch was a bargain!
£14.99 now, but still a bargain! Is it good? I was considering it but not completely sure.

Re: iOS and Android gaming

Yeah the mobile ports of Square games are expensive and not especially good. I tried FFVII and IX and had issues with both. The one device thing seems highly unlikely though.

Although...

Maybe FFT isn't the best choice!

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

Hmm thanks, the lady who sent me said I had to stand in at least one of the places before going back to her at the village, and I only seem to have the divine beasts or going straight to Ganon as my other options, so it seems like I have to do at least one of them before continuing?

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

I'm about 20 odd hours in to BOTW and have hit a bit of a snag. It seems like I'm being asked to just go around and photograph landmarks that are in my album, but how am I supposed that know where they are?

Re: 376: Dino Crisis

Despite having played and replayed the older Resident Evil games many times over the years, I only ever played Dino Crisis once, relatively soon after it was released. It's a game I've always meant to come back to at some point, but because it's never seen any kind of official re-release in the UK i...

Re: Video Game Collection Vs. Sunlight

This is real. My entire movie collection of over 600 DVDs and BluRays has been stored on a bookcase in our conservatory for the last 18 months, and some have suffered awful fading. It never even occurred to me at the time. I only noticed it the other week.

I think it would be fine, every Castlevania game other than the DS ones you had to pause to view the map anyway. I'd love to play them again, never actually finished any of the DS ones.

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?

 It's like the time I rocked up to band practice and proudly showed off the new bass line I'd written. Everyone just looked at me like I was mental until someone said, "Uh, it's New Born by Muse". And it was. Note for note. I wouldn't mind, but the exact same thing happened a few years later wh...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I'm very close to finishing Aria actually. Started it a while back and was loving it, but then got my Switch for my birthday and haven't really picked up my PSP since. I think I was in the very last bit though so really should make the effort to finish it. I really enjoyed it, but I've only really p...
