That's the thing. They turn up from time to time, but appear to have no purpose at all. They're not trying to scam anyway or link people to anywhere. They're not selling anything, they're just posting nonsense!

Re: The Ninja Warriors
What on earth is your deal?
The bots are getting weirder. This one takes a sentence from the most recent post in the thread and paraphrases it.
Completely bizarre. I say let's keep him.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

No, the last one was 4K as well but I think this one looks a bit better.

Re: 4K TV thoughts?
I bought an Amazon Fire Omni 4K QLED TV in the Prime sale last week and just set it up this evening. It was half price at £300 and pleased with it so far. It's even got Xbox and the Amazon Luna apps built in and you can stream games without the use of a console which is pretty cool. Just tried it ou...

No Man's Sky 5.0 out now for PC and PS4/5. XBOX and Switch coming soon.
Just astonished what Hello Games did to No Man's Sky, to be honest. Above and beyond. Literally.

Re: Our next podcast recording (19.5.18) - 320: Space Invaders
Three word review: Better left remembered. Also, what an idiot. Space Invaders is an incredible game. The simplicity and addictiveness combine to make a truly timeless experience. We went to the cinema at the weekend to see Inside Out 2 with the kids and they had a cocktail cabinet set up on freepl...

Re: Space Invaders
I've been playing the Invincible Collection on Switch lately and it's a crying shame the collection doesn't include Space Invaders Infinity Gene. Just been playing it on my Xbox and it was such a great game. Almost has elements of Rez with the graphical style and the music. Would have been so cool t...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've been replaying Metal Gear Solid 2 on Switch because MGS might be, in my opinion, the greatest game series of all time. Every game in the series is top notch, not a stinker amongst them, including Rising. (And obviously not including that weird post-Kojima zombie nonsense).

Agree with that entirely. It's a shame we weren't playing a bit more aggressively because everything else about him is spot on.

Ah well that's a bummer. We didn't do too bad, but both their goals the Spanish player was wide open on the left. Ah man.

Re: Euros 2024 - fixtures, results and discussion
Come on, anything can happen! We looked good last night, at least for the first half. I'm not confident, but I don't think we are going to be a walkover. I know both teams want to win, but England want to win. Maybe that'll be enough... ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Our next podcast recording (15.7.24) - 628: Area 88 (U.N. Squadron) and U.S. Navy (Carrier Air Wing)
Yeah I had a run through of the first game on my Vita (via MAME). I found it perfectly enjoyable, and a little easier than a lot of arcade shmups, but nothing really that made it stand out from the crowd, for me. It was fun, but I don't have much to say about it! Unfortunately I couldn't get the ROM...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Been playing a bit more Tempest 4000 on Switch and something just feels off about it. I realised it's the controls. There's an awful feeling inertia to controlling your character, it doesn't stop when you let go of the stick. I understand the original arcade version of Tempest used a 360⁰ dial for m...

Is there a good way to play these now legit? Or is emulation the way to go? With the first game will you be focusing on the arcade game, rather than the SNES? Thanks!

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I adored Immortality. Stick with it. The point really is to understand and finish the story. Keep finding new clips and eventually all becomes clear. Yeah, it's a really interesting idea for a game. I'm getting a sense of what's going on but without any explanation for how or why, or what the outco...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I decided to give Immortality another try as I've had it installed on my mobile since it came to Netflix games. I did try it on Gamepass when it first came out but just didn't really get why it was being praised so highly. But this time I've actually discovered what the game is really about. When yo...
