Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

My eldest has brought over that 51 Worldwide Classics games collection for Switch, but unless we are missing something, it doesn't appear to support couch multiplayer? There's 4 of us here and I'd assumed we'd be able to play the bowling or some of the other stuff, all on the TV with a joycon each. ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Didn't realise PS3 emulation had come on so much. Imagine you need a pretty beefy PC, right?

Re: The Euro 2020 Thread

There's not been many really exciting matches so far, has there. Hoping Portugal vs Germany has a bit of action.

Re: The Euro 2020 Thread

The format of this tournament means that 'biscotti' matches (as the Italians call them) are quite likely in round three. The most famous international example of teams deliberately playing out a mutually beneficial result was Austria v West Germany at Espana '82: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgr...

Re: 476 - The Last of Us Part II

I hated the first game and found the ending so morally reprehensible that I had no intention of playing the second game when it was announced. When everything leaked, I just read all the spoilers and laughed uproariously, knowing I had made the right decision. But regardless of whether you enjoyed ...

Re: The Euro 2020 Thread

Yeah I thought the game itself was fairly entertaining, but really disappointed with England. Scotland seemed far more aggressive and eager to score. And I don't buy the whole 'aiming for 2nd place' thing at all, I don't believe any team ever goes out not to win.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Hey, so say I had an Xbox Series X and put the game discs of, for example, Red Dead Redemption or Fable 2 in the machine, would the console then download the enhanced versions of the games, or do you need to re-buy the digital versions of the game to get all the benefits? Thanks :)

Enjoyed the first half of the England game, some great chances for both teams.

Re: Final Fantasy I - XV

So, what combination do you guys recommend I go for? I am thinking maybe FFVII, FFIX and then the War of the Lions for some variety. Anything from 1-10 is fine - except 8. Don't play anything after 10. I suppose it's all personal preference, but 8 is my second favorite of all the ones I've played (...

Re: Our next Console Special podcast recording (27.6.21) - PlayStation 3

My girlfriend at the time bought me a PS3 for my 30th birthday. I hadn't been expecting it, but had wanted one for a while, and was really excited when I unwrapped it. I bit my lip as she explained that there had been two packages available, one with Little Big Planet and "a load of old games&q...

Re: E3 2021 - Schedule and discussion thread

I see a lot of "E3 sucked" online and about, and it's amazing how so many people have seemed to move on and forget that we were and still are in a pandemic that has caused a work force to delay so much. The fact that not everything is delayed until at least 2022 should feel like a blessin...

Cool thanks I'll check it out then. And I can't play 3 before 2, I'm just not that kind of guy, haha. Honestly, it would niggle me so much. Ridiculous I know. The only game I've ever, ever (I'm sure, ever!) played a later entry first is Witcher 3, and that was only because I didn't have access to th...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Took a break from Monster Hunter Rise after playing 65 hours in a month, and returned to 3D All Stars. Picked up my save on Mario 64 where I'm at 62 stars. I'd planned originally to try to get every star, but I can't be bothered now so just aiming for the 70 to see the ending. I will say, control is...

Fairly strong showing from Nintendo there I thought. Quite a bit we didn't know about. Still, this is the intetnet so I'll also tell you my moans - nothing new on the Switch Online service, why still no GBA games? Or anything?

No, don't think it's ever been mentioned before. Can't believe they're still opening shows with Smash, but not a bad presentation so far (I've just reached SMT).

Re: The Euro 2020 Thread

A pain them being on ITV though as I'm not sure the ITV players supports 'watch from the start' option the same way the BBC iPlayer does. Unless anyone knows different? I won't be able to watch the first half of France/Germany if not, boooo!
