Re: Comic Book Chatter
Started Immortal Hulk recently. Whilst I've always liked Hulk as a character I've never read much. I read Planet Hulk years ago, and Hulk Grey a while back, but that's about it. Anyway, Immortal Hulk seems pretty good. Read the first book so far (issues 1 to 10 or something).

Re: Evercade
Looks like the first 'giga-cart' is going to be Tomb Raider trilogy. To be honest I have absolutely no interest in playing these games now, but it's certainly interesting. If they run alright on the Evercade it opens up a lot of exciting possibilities. https://evercade.co.uk/tomb-raider-is-coming-to...

Re: Evercade
Wild. I was expecting a better spec machine for a bit more money, instead they're releasing a lower spec machine for less money. Bizarre, considering the consoles were cheap as chips anyway. If I'm honest, I don't really get this. Still, I hope they sell and support Evercade further. (I might even p...

Re: Evercade console
Yeah it's pretty neat to look at. Still hoping they add dip switch support though. Apparently they're working on it but they've been saying that for about six months!

Re: Evercade console
Evercade to produce 'bigger' carts featuring more CD based games (whilst still keeping them really inexpensive). This is really exciting to me, looking forward to seeing what they come out with! Here at Evercade, we’ve always had to strike a balance between bringing great games to you on physical ca...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Yeah I did think it would be a tricky one with it not only not being a game, but also lack of familiarity from the team. I suppose it's a bit niche!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
It's not a game, and I have no idea how you'd go about putting together a show for it, but I'd love to hear a Cane and Rinse breakdown of Music/Music 2000 by Codemasters for the PS1. My friend and I spent 100s of hours back in the late 90s and very early 2000s learning and using the software, it was...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Actually, it did get better. I like it now.   (It's a lot better game with all the assists off and a clean screen for driving without the HUD clutter). I've been waiting on a sale on this for a while either digitally or physically but never seen one. I bet it's no longer on sale now...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I picked up Gran Turismo 7 for the PS5 in a sale recently. Now, I've been a huge fan of the series since day one and have played the death out of every single entry, except GT Sport. Oh boy, they really make it difficult to love this game. It is utterly maddening. What's all this bullshit with the c...

Re: Star Wars Outlaws
Despite not counting myself as "A Fan" by any stretch, I still have a lot of nostalgia for the original trilogy, the world and the sound effects (especially the sound effects). This looks great!

Re: Dragon's Dogma
Given all the excitement about Dragons Dogma 2 I decided to play the first game since I've started it twice and never finished it. I thought on my last attempt I'd not got too far but looking at my Switch stats it seems I'd put 35 hours in to it! Started again, anyway. I'm under no illusion I'll fin...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Just watched the first episode of Telemarketers (Sky/Now TV) after Louis Theroux posted about it earlier on Twitter. It's really interesting. An undercover investigation in to telemarketing scams in the US, by two complete amateur film makers who worked in the centres. It's only three episodes but i...

Re: Games Completed 2024
Brilliant game, and yeah, the soundtrack is exceptional. There are very few game soundtracks I'll listen to outside of the game, but this is one of them. Played this through twice but still never 100% it. Can't wait for Silksong.

Re: 633: Tekken series
Given the fact that fighting games are one of my lesser preferred genres, and even within that Tekken ranks pretty low on my list of those games I do still enjoy, it's fair to say I'm not the biggest Tekken fan in the world. This wasn't always the case. Tekken 2 was the game I got along with my PS1 ...

Re: Games Completed 2024
30 March: Gears of War (Xbox 360) Not the first time I finished this, but me and my kid finished our coop campaign run on Hardcore. A lot of fun, some frustration (especially during the split up sections where you can't revive each other) and a nice dosage of 2006 era nostalgia. We want to play thr...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Anyone here played Moonlighter ? I bought it for Switch because it was about £2 and had been on my watch list for ages. I think I'm enjoying it. It's a mixture of lots of different types of games - a little bit Stardew, a bit Animal Crossing, touches of early Zelda. You run a shop, but get the thing...

Re: Games Completed 2024
That is, by some distance, the most positive appraisal of Castlevania Legends I have ever read. Ha, I did look up the Wikipedia entry for the game after finishing it and was quite surprised to see it'd had a generally negative appraisal at the time! A lot of comments compared it unfavorably to the ...
