Re: Association Football (aka 'Soccer' / "The Beautiful Game")
Oh they'd have absolutely lost to City, but it would have been a fairytale end to the game if the goal stood. Incredible tenacity from them. Really amazing to watch, and I'm generally not interested in club football at all.

Re: Association Football (aka 'Soccer' / "The Beautiful Game")
One of the all time dramatic cup semis yesterday, gutted for Coventry, but pulling back to effectively win 4-3 from a 3-0 deficit with twenty minutes of the match remaining will be remembered for a long time. Shame about the shitty VAR decision. I think neutrals everywhere were jumping up out of the...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Hadn't played on my Xbox for months because of getting a PS5 at Christmas and that being plugged in downstairs instead, but had a bit of a move around yesterday and put the Xbox in our bedroom and whilst the kids were playing Fortnite on a PS5 and PS4 in the living room and their bedroom respectivel...

Re: Evercade
Interesting. I'm not familiar with any of those games but they look like they're on C64? The shoot em up near the start looks particularly good.
My interest has waned a little on the new VS console though since seeing it'll be bundled with Tomb Raider, but I guess I could always sell the cart.

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Partly because I have no attention span to commit to TV series and partly because of a bloody minded stubbornness to refuse to watch or play anything everyone is telling me I need to, I've only just got around to watching Squid Game on Netflix. Watched five episodes over the last three nights. It's ...

Re: Comic Book Chatter
Started Immortal Hulk recently. Whilst I've always liked Hulk as a character I've never read much. I read Planet Hulk years ago, and Hulk Grey a while back, but that's about it. Anyway, Immortal Hulk seems pretty good. Read the first book so far (issues 1 to 10 or something).

Re: Evercade
Looks like the first 'giga-cart' is going to be Tomb Raider trilogy. To be honest I have absolutely no interest in playing these games now, but it's certainly interesting. If they run alright on the Evercade it opens up a lot of exciting possibilities. https://evercade.co.uk/tomb-raider-is-coming-to...

Re: Evercade
Wild. I was expecting a better spec machine for a bit more money, instead they're releasing a lower spec machine for less money. Bizarre, considering the consoles were cheap as chips anyway. If I'm honest, I don't really get this. Still, I hope they sell and support Evercade further. (I might even p...

Re: Evercade console
Yeah it's pretty neat to look at. Still hoping they add dip switch support though. Apparently they're working on it but they've been saying that for about six months!

Re: Evercade console
Evercade to produce 'bigger' carts featuring more CD based games (whilst still keeping them really inexpensive). This is really exciting to me, looking forward to seeing what they come out with! Here at Evercade, we’ve always had to strike a balance between bringing great games to you on physical ca...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Yeah I did think it would be a tricky one with it not only not being a game, but also lack of familiarity from the team. I suppose it's a bit niche!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
It's not a game, and I have no idea how you'd go about putting together a show for it, but I'd love to hear a Cane and Rinse breakdown of Music/Music 2000 by Codemasters for the PS1. My friend and I spent 100s of hours back in the late 90s and very early 2000s learning and using the software, it was...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Actually, it did get better. I like it now.   (It's a lot better game with all the assists off and a clean screen for driving without the HUD clutter). I've been waiting on a sale on this for a while either digitally or physically but never seen one. I bet it's no longer on sale now...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I picked up Gran Turismo 7 for the PS5 in a sale recently. Now, I've been a huge fan of the series since day one and have played the death out of every single entry, except GT Sport. Oh boy, they really make it difficult to love this game. It is utterly maddening. What's all this bullshit with the c...

Re: Star Wars Outlaws
Despite not counting myself as "A Fan" by any stretch, I still have a lot of nostalgia for the original trilogy, the world and the sound effects (especially the sound effects). This looks great!

Re: Dragon's Dogma
Given all the excitement about Dragons Dogma 2 I decided to play the first game since I've started it twice and never finished it. I thought on my last attempt I'd not got too far but looking at my Switch stats it seems I'd put 35 hours in to it! Started again, anyway. I'm under no illusion I'll fin...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Just watched the first episode of Telemarketers (Sky/Now TV) after Louis Theroux posted about it earlier on Twitter. It's really interesting. An undercover investigation in to telemarketing scams in the US, by two complete amateur film makers who worked in the centres. It's only three episodes but i...
