Re: Our next podcast recording: Tearaway
This is my favourite game on my favourite console. It was a joy to play from start to finish, and I game I can see myself re playing on a yearly basis.

Re: PlayStation Vita
Havn't used it. I stupidly deleted my ps3 save about a year ago so had to start a fresh on my Vita. Thought it would be a bit of a chore, but I've really enjoyed playing it from the beginning again. Happy to play it exclusively on Vita now as it's a great fit for the system.

Re: PlayStation Vita
Definately. I've already pumped more hours into it than I did on my ps3 copy.adwild1982 wrote:Got Football Manager for my Vita and struggling to get in to it and the controls let it down. Also thinking about getting Borderlands 2 so I can loot on the go. Is it worth it?

Re: PlayStation Vita
I'm really loving Borderlands 2 on the vita. Quite baffled by some of the low review scores. Sure there are a couple of compromises, but nothing game breaking. This is basically the whole game on your vita and it's a great fit for pick up and play handheld gaming. It looks great, and I've already pu...

Re: PlayStation 4
I played the first FF beta a month or so ago and was really impressed. I'm a big RPG guy but MMO's usually leave me cold, however the whole Final Fantasy vibe of this one really won me over. May have to suspend my Netflix sub for a couple of months to justify the monthly spend to my wife though.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Anyone tried the new Broken Sword game yet? I'm thinking of getting it. Huge fan of the first two, like everyone else, but felt disappointed with the 3rd and 4th (like everyone else...) I'm hoping this is a return to form. Have played about an hour or so. Very impressed so far. Deffinately feels li...

Re: Answer my random question thread
In my more hell raising past, whenever me and my friends were very drunk/high we would refer to our selves as being as buckled as a kipper. We would then end up using the name Buckled Kipper for any team we were involved in (usually 5 a side football). Now that my life is spent mostly staying home t...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Problem is that my son uses my Vita in the day so whatever is suspended gets lost. May have to treat him to his own vita soon.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
It's definitely a great fit for the Vita. My only grumble is that I wish they'd put more save points in now that it's on a handheld.

Also bought Muramasa on Vita last night which is all kinds of fun and very pretty to match.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Despite being somewhat of a Heavy Rain fan, for some reason I have not been that bothered about Beyond. However, after playing the first couple of hours last night I am totally gripped by it. Got it on rental from Boomerang so will probably plough through it in the next couple of nights. And boy doe...

Re: Edge - Top 10 Consoles
Although I'm not having a dig at Leon (don't think for a minute that he was meaning to sound rude), the whole we don't do that sort of thing at C&R does tend to put me off this place a bit. There just fun lists that people like myself enjoy reading and writing. If things descend into fanboyism then ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Doom 1 & 2 are pretty much perfect games in my memory, so I avoid playing them now as to not be disappointed by how time may have lessened the impact of them.

Re: Games completed 2013
Finished Brothers. Thought it was great, but if I had one minor quibble it would be that the character design on the two brothers was a bit non descript. Had they had a bit more character I would have really emotionally invested in them. That said, there is a lot to love in this game, and some of th...

Has anyone suggested To The Moon yet? I think this is going to rate as one of my favourite games of all time, and would only take a couple of hours for you all to play.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
I don't like 3D in either my film watching or my gaming, but I'd still rather pay the extra for a 3DS and turn the slider down than own this god awful design.

Re: The Film Recommendation Thread
Went to see a special 35mm showing of 2001 A Space Odysee in Truro hosted by Mark Kermode last night. Forgot what great a film this is as i haven't seen it since the eighties, and seeing it on such a brilliant print on the big screen was pretty damn awesome.
