Re: Sea of Thieves

I've probably played a good 6-8 hours of this now (I'm level 10-12 in all three of the mission types), both with just myself and Linda, and also with a full crew. There are some fun moments, but all in all I have to say the game is very shallow. It feels more like a concept waiting for some meat on ...

Sadly I might actually be over in England myself so unable to play, but once I return to lovely Denmark I'll let you know!

Re: Videogame Deals

For anyone looking to get into some Sea of Thieves when it comes out, don't forget it's part of XBOX Game Pass which you can get a good 9-10 months of for the RRP of SoT.

(And with State of Decay out soon too that's me signed up ;) )

Re: Sea of Thieves - Sing a shanty with the CaR crew

Linda and I will be signing up for XBOX Game Pass to play this, The price of the game is 5 months of it anyways so seems like the best way to play it,. ;) But we'll be around for some pirating goodness for at least that long I would guess.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

It's interesting how much personal taste comes into these things. I say that as I have the opposite view. Coming into this generation I was fully behind Sony. I had both a 360 and a PS3, and was certainly way more invested in the MS side at that point. But Sony seemed to be going the way I wanted, s...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

So MS are giving away all future games with Game Pass.... day 1! Basically subscribing means you;d never have to buy another Gears, Halo, Forza or indeed any XBOX exclusive game. That's a pretty strong sales point! £95 a year.. Even I could be tempted for that.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

I never really had a problem with 3, I can't remember know what the actual 'thing' was that people fell out with?? I believe it was the drastic change of direction in the final third where you effectively became an accountant/lawyer for 100 days before fighting a previous boss again ...that felt ha...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

I gave my Xbox One to my nephews for Christmas. Made it much easier to justify picking up an Xbox One X ;-) (I'm all heart and generosity, me!) Fable 3 left rather a bad taste in my mouth, but I can't deny it had some interesting ideas regarding timeline and win conditions. I never played the origi...

Jumped into Tacoma after my wife played it yesterday. Such a great mechanic for a game to be based around. Better detective work than most detective games.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

After not having a Microsoft console for a fair few years, I'm quite looking forward to getting an S for Christmas this year. While I do have a 4K TV, I couldn't justify spending at least £200 more on the console just to play a handful of exclusives. I'll definitely be sticking to my PS4 Pro for my...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Since I received my XBOX X I've actually been playing a lot of 360 games on it! Seems a waste you might think, but the super fast load times and rock solid frame rates actually make some of the games way more playable. Been rocking out in XCOM and Fallout 3. It's the same warm feeling I get when I u...

Pokémon is, obviously, already pre-ordered.
A replay of LA Noire with achievements this time (Had it on Playstation last gen) could well be a fun thing!

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Living on a tiny island in the Baltic it took an extra day for mine to turn up, but I was half prepared for that eventuality. As for the system it is rather impressive! Such a tiny box, without even a power brick, but everything plays so much better. I'd just started playing XCOM 2 on my old system ...
