Re: Your soothing gaming fix
Cities Skylines. I can lose myself for days on end playing that game and nothing ever feels like a conflict or anything. Dwarf Fortress too, though that's a very different feel as you build knowing one day the fortress will fall.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Back once again with Frost Punk, now that I realised the PC version is also on GamePass so I can mouse and keyboard the thing. I mean it works fine on controller really, but I just prefer that sort of game sitting in my office. Having my first real go at Endless mode on the easiest option and seem t...

Re: Board/Card Games - The obligatory "analogue" gaming thread
Finally received my copy of The Refuge: Terror from the Deep. Super simple to play, but damn it's kicking our arses each time! Even on the easiest missions and options. But that's a good co-op for you

Re: Videogame Deals
Any one else playing/sometimes plays Idle Champions, there is a sale on right now on several items. Good chance to pick up some cheap Familiars. Also there is an additional familiar were all the money goes to Red Nose Day (US). Seems to be active on both Steam and XBOX.

Re: Videogame News
Anyone watching the EA Play conference tonight? I've missed proper E3 this year. I know there are still conferences, but I've even missed the thread with all the times and stuff and everyone talking about it. Hope it's back as normal next year :( Will probably catch up with it after the fact but lo...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
That's the compromise I believe, unless they end up with 3 consoles! It will have all the HDR and Ray Tracing of the Series X, but will max out at 1080P (though a 4K TV can upsacle that of course) I think it will only have 4-5 TFLOPS in comparison to the 10 of the PS5 and 12 of the Series X.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
Indeed. A lot is based on assumptions right now of course, although everything is pointing to XBOX Series X being the cheaper given the complicated Sony storage solution and MS happy to take a hit to gain market share, but I think there are some happy folks sitting in boardrooms right now.

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
I'll be going all digital this time. I haven't bought a physical game on the PS4 since...I genuinely don't know if I've bought one. I'm all digital on everything. Ring Fit Adventure is a great game but I can't be arsed taking launch BotW out of the Switch to play it. Given how low the barrier to en...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
If these rumours are even close to true this is going to be one crazy generation opening!

I mean I'll be Series X personally, but for anyone happy living with 1080P gaming it will be a no brainer.

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
Impressive display of games! As I've stated before I'll only be getting the XOBX at launch, and maybe only, but some of those exclusive games look drop dead gorgeous. Ray-Tracing it Hitman is a thing of beauty, though I'll assume that's cross platform as I believe both consoles to be comparable in R...

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
Just seen an article that the price of the PS5 is looking like its going to be £599 from some leak on Amazon. If that's correct that's a touch higher then many were hoping I feel like. Now it could be some special edition of course...

Rail: Shadow Legends
I realise mobile game can be rather marmite like but was wondering if there are any others playing this game? It's one of the very few mobile games that have managed to grab me, it's basically this and Idle Champions. Was wondering if there were enough of us for a C&R Clan on there?

Re: Videogame News
If there's no BC on the PS5 besides the usual AAA stuff I've already played, I'm going full XBSX in the first instance. I would be really pissed off if my Ketsui and Battle Garegga purchases didn't carry over and I refuse to own a PS4 and PS5 in 2020. I'd be far more interested in keeping my M2 STG...

Good to hear, you guys deserve it! Although these days I find my time such that I rarely get to listen to more than the monthly update podcast, but that alone is worth $2 to me so I'm a happy camper

Re: Gaming firsts /most influential games
I like this idea! Elite (BBC Micro) Not only an epic game, but the first game I ever double dipped on, on the same system no-less! It started with the tape version, took an age to load and if I recall you had to load from tape each time you landed/launched from a space station. However the game felt...
