Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Anyone tried the Dollar Dash demo on PSN? I thought it was brilliant mindless fun, but I never got to the end of a multilayer game without it losing the connection. Never had a connection problem before (or after) but I've tried if a few times and always the same. Shame. I would have bought it other...

Re: Funny Pictures!

These old home computing ads might raise a smile. Don't recall Wiiliam Shatner being a major influence when I got my VIC-20 though!

Re: iOS Gaming

Good recommendation. That one definitely slipped through the net undeservedly. The puzzles are very simple, but there is some quick satisfaction to be had from them. Not a classic, but it's free and I've just spent a happy 45 minutes with it, so thanks for the tip.

Re: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Push The Sky Away

I was lucky enough to be at Reading 1992 when he played before Nirvana. The new album's been a permanent fixture on my iPod since it was released. Fantastic. Unusual for someone of his years to consistently be creating such quality, at such a rate, whether as himself or Grinderman.

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes

For anyone into C64 music that dabbles in Raspberry Pi, there's a nice guide to turning it into C64 jukebox here:

Re: Kindle Books

I just splashed out on some ZX Spectrum retrospectives. Haven't downloaded them yet - I'm in Milan and can't be bothered hooking up my Kindle to the hotel wireless - but they all very cheap and well reviewed, if a little on the short side. Speccy Nation at £1.02: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Speccy-Natio...

Re: All things Lara Croft Tomb Raider

I had a great glitch on PS3 - so great it seemed almost intentional! I fell off the pirate ship as I was making my escape. Lara got "snagged" half way down the ship. Nothing more happened, so I tried to free her with the controller and off she went, floating around the ship under a reasonable amount...

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread

Hi everyone. Having evolved from late 70's arcade games to VIC20 then ZX Spectrum, Spectrum+2, Atari ST, Playstation then PS2, my gaming hobby gradually lapsed (despite getting PS3 on day one) until I came across podcasts, and one called GamerDork in particular, which reignited my interest even if m...
