Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I have been playing Kirby:Planet Robobot and it is fantastic. Kirby games are very paradoxical to me. They are extremely easy and child friendly and yet I find because of their difficulty and length they are perfect for any adults who sadly do not have as much time for gaming as they used. They are ...

Re: Sound of Play: 55

Cheers for playing my Kirby request! I forgot about the wonderful samba music in ISS 64. I am not big into football but I have had great memories of that game, that overly excited commentator was what made that game such a blast to play. And I have heard of Patapon but never heard the soundtrack, I ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I hope Colour Splash doesn't make the same mistakes but after watching a bit over E3... I'm worried! To be truthful, I'm a bit pessimistic as well but my post was already fairly negative so decided to end on a more hopeful note. In a preview of the game, the assistant producer Risa Tabata is asked ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I have just finished Paper Mario Sticker Star on the 3DS and I have to agree with the general consensus that it is by far the worst Paper Mario game. But first the positives. There was just something about collecting stickers and knowing when to use them that felt good to me. Not to mention when you...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

Cheers Jay! Oh just one quick little question, will there be a Halloween special this year? I have a particular creepy tune in mind that would be perfect for such a show.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Oh wow, Rez is legitimately one of the few things that would lead to me giving a monkey's about VR. That must look and feel amazing! Pity my place is too small for me to be faffing around with a VR headset but since this is getting a traditional release as well, it's just one more reason for me to g...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I really think a show on Rez would be fantastic. Short game but such an absolutely amazing experience that it more than makes up for it. The symbiosis of music and gameplay is just phenomenal and is something that grabs you immediately within 10 seconds of playing it. If you think it is not enough t...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

I am a newcomer to this community but it was the Sound of Play podcast that encouraged me to sign up and join the lovely people here. This podcast is the perfect thing to listen to during work and has inroduced me to a lot of spectacular OSTs. My request is for Queen Sectonia (Phase 1) by Jun Ishika...

Re: Sound of Play: 52

Oh, did not realise that you could get orchestral versions of game tunes onto this show. The WDR do truly mesmerising, beautiful stuff and the Lost Odyssey suite is no exception. I appreciate that they don't do a straight orchestral version of game music, they truly experiment and can do arrangement...

Re: The "Introduce yourself" thread

Hi all, just discovered this website through the fantastic Cane and Rinse podcast and thought I would join this community. I find far too many gaming communities overrun with toxicity that this place is a pleasant surprise, no nastiness to be fond anywhere which is quite refreshing! The podcast is o...
