Re: Xbox One

I entirely agree with both of you gents. Xbox is too big a beast to be sunk by these issues and has now crossed over to a huge mainstream audience that don't really know/understand/care about the issues hardcore gamers are currently up in arms about online. Price is also a temporary issue but one th...

Re: Xbox One

Interesting breakdown on CVG of the Xbox One and PS4 exclusives: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/412904/features/xbox-one-vs-ps4-the-exclusive-games/ The X1 is getting kicked all over the internet at the moment and rightly so for many reasons, but one has to admit that putting all the rights an...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

That is a neat little feature! Thanks very much for the suggestion of sending a message to my 3DS Mike, really appreciate the thought. I'm afraid it looks fairly certain it's been stolen now by some unscrupulous traveller - the train terminated a couple of stops after I got off and apparently they d...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

Thanks for the sympathy gents! I'm going to my home contents insurance folk when I get in as I've got my fingers firmly crossed that I may be able to claim on that and not have to shell out for a new one (I must give the buggers enough money each month for something!). And all this right before Anim...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

Well today just took a turn for shit..... Just got off a train and left my white limited edition 3DS XL on there  Still got the case in my bag but lost 3 games as the Ocarina of Time cartridge was still in it (lost a lot of hours of play on that now!), and Super Mario 3D Land and Professor Layt...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of anticipation for Animal Crossing: New Leaf! I've actually never played anything from the series before (perhaps that's why I'm so excited?) but pre-ordered this after listening to the excellent C&R episode on the series and just can't wait to get stuck i...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Something I'm finding a bit "stodgy early doors" as you so eloquently put it Leon is The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time (playing on 3DS). I've just got to section where you flash forward in time and find yourself as adult Link, so I'm not exactly right at the begin but suspect there's st...

Re: Games completed 2013

Afternoon All! I'm not as prolific as many of you guys due to limited gaming time these days – getting married in July and wedding planning ruthlessly, but you will at least see a lot of 3DS from me thanks to my daily train commute! Here's my 2013 list so far: Jan - Resident Evil 4 (Wii) – deserving...

Re: Game Swap!

Pitwar - what console have you got so I can supply a list of potential swaps? PS3 I'm guessing from the image of Snake?

I've got a lot of Dreamcast stuff but if you post a list of what you've got we might find something tallies up and we can come to an accord!

Re: Deadpool (High Moon Studios)

I'm afraid I'm one of the folk that finds Deadpool fairly intolerable. There is no genuine intelligence or wit to his character, just endless irritating quips. The idea of playing through a whole game as him (with the potential for repetitive post-kill sound bites that the developer will surely find...

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes

Just posting that has made me trawl through the album again and brought up some great memories! For anyone who's played the game, this track from when you're resting with your dragon around the camp fires will really take you back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePrKX63z37E&list=PL1F7036D92F389D...

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes

The entire score of Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn is simply beautiful. The game may be incredibly rare but you can at least experience the soundtrack on You Tube and I can't recommend it highly enough. This opening track is an indicator of the awesomeness on offer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Castle of Illusion/Quackshot/World of Illusion

Really excited about this one! :D Some great childhood memories of both Mega Drive and Game Gear Castle Of Illusions so desperately hoping they do it justice and it doesn't turn out like Sonic 4 - looks the part until you pick up the controller and then it's all just.....wrong...... PS - gold star t...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

Morning All, Looking for some advice on 3DS games that use the Circle Pad Pro. I've just purchased the unwieldy beast for my XL along with Resident Evil Revelations and Kingdom Hearts 3D to keep me busy on the commute over the next few weeks, but after that I'm not really sure where to go :? Any rec...

Re: Animal Crossing

Really enjoyed the Animal Crossing podcast guys - I've never played any of the series but it's really got me enthused to try the new 3DS version when it comes out. I have an hour commute each way from Sheffield to Manchester every day and it sounds the perfect way to relax in preparation for / after...

Zavvi's ever reliable Mega Monday sale has a really good selection today if you're quick. A few personal highlights include... - Batman Arkham City: GOTY edition - £12.98 all formats - Darksiders 2 Limited Edition - £12.98 (360, PS3) - Okami (wii) - £12.35 ...but there's quite a few other attractive...

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Ryan_astley - Micro Machines! Yes! That should absolutely be in my list, although I'd probably shoot for Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament over the original. Some of the my greatest multiplayer memories are with that game and my childhood best friend Chris. That version also featured Violet Berlin ...

Thank you sir for the correction and the complement! Can't quite forgive myself for rating Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis above Golden Eye and Bioshock but it's done now and that's the kind of move you can never go back on....

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Hi All. I'm new to the forums but a long time C&R listener, so thought what better way to kick off than post my top 50! I've probably missed off plenty but I've spent far too long agonising over it already so here goes..... 1. Panzer Dragoon Saga 2. Nights Into Dream 3. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 4. S...
