Re: Videogame Deals

Dunno if anyone is still using their 3DS, but the sequel to Bravely Deafult is currently a fiver at Argos: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4540748?clickSR=slp:term:bravely%20default:4:4:1 (Looks like the deluxe edition too, which is currently going for £60+ on eBay!?!) Dude, nice one, grabbed one (...

The menu system on DD2 is awful in my opinion.

Vague and unclear.

The season mode is hidden away in some weird menu process.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Dead Space Extraction on the Wii. It's come recommend by a few people now but SeanThomas convinced me to try it after his success with the 007 Goldeneye control scheme for the Wii. It's a sort of rail shooter that handles well, has lots to shoot, upgrades and best of all a voice acted comic strip a...

Re: Gaming Telly Discussion (and Diminishing Returns)

B9's can now be had for under £1000 it seems. Digital Foundry Deals are reporting that you can get a 55 inch LG OLED B9 for £924 on eBay with offer code PICK20OFF, it even comes with a five year warranty. I really think that's a hell of a deal. Yeah it’s incredible considering the performance of it.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

ActRaiser on the SNES. I can see why people talk so fondly of this, its rather unique and very compelling. Basically, (if you don't know), its a top down strategy game, with shooter elements and a truly mad platform adventure game baked in as well. Visually, the side scrolling platform elements are...

Re: Videogame News

No news but strong rumour that the Xbox will be rebranded as a sega box in japan. I know we've spoken about this already but this would be a massive step straight into the feels department for a lot of people, and you can only assume be a massive step in the right direction for MicroSoft. Obviously...

Re: Electric razors / beard trimmers

I tend to have pretty thick whiskers and beards, moustaches, muttons, the lot. I love a set of whiskers. Over the years I've had expensive and cheap beard trimmers. What do you need it to do ?? I find the £12 Wahl (AA battery) trimmers do the lot for me (I currently on my 2nd set of these and they a...

Re: Final Fantasy VI

10 hours into this and it's very compelling (SNES version). This is my first Final Fantasy as such, I played Mystic Quest as a child on my SNES and enjoyed that but never had the time or inclination to play the more thorough games. I'm really enjoying the split paths and journey's. I escaped teh Pha...

Yeah, that’s worked out well for you by the looks of things, going to be hard throwing out those inlays and contents mind 😬 - just wanted to mention it, as it‘a worked very well for me in the past and currently. Re: Retro gaming

Little thing I used to do with GameCube cases, was when I was out and looking I would see a FIFA or Tiger and if the case was decent - I’d pick it up. Often those types of games were, between 50p and £1 and much cheaper than buying and paying for postage of bundled of cases from eBay. Nice pick ups,...

I picked this up once on a trip to Amsterdam and had a wonderful time with it, bit of a sleeper it seems.

Glad you are branching out 🤣 No bats and whips you mean  . Borderlands 3 (Xbox) - Pretty fun apart from the last area we did which was everything I don't enjoy about Borderlands, a twisting, snaking setting that has you checking your map more than you're checking your ammo. Pro Evo (PS4) - Des...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I started Final Fantasy VI on the SNES last night.

I lost about an hour and a half’s progress at one point due to not saving.

I’m just at the point where I’m trying to make it over Mt Kolts.

It’s a pretty successful streamer game, which probably won’t surprise you.
