Re: PlayStation Vita

I'm a little late to the thread, but I adore my Vita. Between Mutant Blobs Attack!!, Lumines, Wipeout 2048 and Gravity Rush, I've had plenty of fun with PSV exclusives. Add to that re-enjoying Plants vs Zombies and Rayman Origins and the Vita has been a revelation for me; even gritting my teeth thro...

Re: Bayonetta 2

Is anyone not interested in the wii u before now paying £250-£300 for Bayonetta 2? ;) Before the Bayonetta 2 announcement I really wasn't interested in the WiiU due, simply, to a lack of games that I couldn't play elsewhere/earlier. Bayonetta 2 may not have swung it alone (as Rayman: Legends looks ...

Re: Mark of the Ninja

The perspective is pretty zoomed-out for most of the game so the character design might not be too off-putting for those who don't like it. As for the environments, they do start off a little dull, but there's at least one towards the end that has a great layered backdrop that is just astounding. Wh...

Re: Closure

I played the Flash version of Closure yesterday. It's pretty different from the Steam/PS3 version as far as I can tell (single protagonist, an even more hand-drawn aesthetic, shorter?), but the light/dark mechanic is the same. I loved feeling like there wasn't a 'right' way to solve some of the leve...

Re: Borderlands & Borderlands 2

There's a gun that, when you run out of ammo, instead of reloading, you just throw the gun at your enemy, and it explodes. Then, the gun just respawns in your hand. IT'S LIKE THE GREATEST THING, EVER. I'm really interested to see how they've developed the gun manufacturers to be more unique. It nev...

Re: Borderlands

I started off really liking this game, it was fun and looked lovely, but i got real bored real fast with it. Something about the way everything just explodes out of the things you kill, in Borderlands, is just orgasmic. These two points of view really sum up our thoughts on the game during the podc...

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast

Really great suggestions, folks. It's great to see a few of the suggested games/series are already on our short-list of potentials; it shows that we're not out of our respective trees! Very humbling to have so many of you respond so positively to Leon, Tony and Jay's wonderful brainchild. Thanks. #r...

Re: Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes

There's an extended version of the same demo, and it does look incredible.

At the moment it's being shown with PS3 and Xbox 360 logos in the end credits. That should give us some idea of the ETA.

Re: Your Anticipated Games of 2012

I wasn't as fond of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit as I had been Burnout: Paradise, so I was kind of ignoring the Most Wanted reboot. However, I just saw this: 6LrwhDtkw-0  Yeah... I'll be pre-ordering that. Now I've just got to decide which format to plump for. Criterion recommended the PS3 ver...

Not to mention the list of PSOne titles available on Vita is larger and simpler to understand than in the US. Sony Europe are getting it right in some ways.

Completely forgot about Okami HD and Jet Set Radio. Also, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale sounds more appealing every time I hear about it - Cross-Buy, and Raiden is in it now! :o

Re: Your Anticipated Games of 2012

Mark Of The Ninja X-COM: Enemy Unknown Dishonored [sic] Far Cry 3 Hitman: Absolution Far Cry 3 is the only one of those that I'm swaying on. If it's like FC2 then I'll be all over it, but I'll have to wait and see on that. Borderlands 2 was on the list, but I'm sure you can guess what happened there...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I liked Darksiders 2 a lot. It definitely improves on its predecessor, and on Apocalyptic has a not dissimilar feel to Demon's/Dark Souls in terms of having to quickly assess each new enemy to avoid death (much less punishing though, obviously). My only (petty) gripe is that my favourite character f...

Epileptics, for instance.

I'm keen to try this, if for no other reason than when watching gameplay videos I find it incredibly difficult to follow what's actually happening. I'll be interested to see how visual feedback fares amongst the fast-moving, intense action.

Re: Dishonored

My long-standing position is to tolerate the spelling essentially as is. I refuse to correct the lack of due care being paid to regional spelling differences by the developer/publisher, instead choosing to make it clear that I hold this decision in utter disdain. Ladies and gentlemen, may I recommen...
