Re: Mirror's Edge
Mirrors edge is a perceived ideal made into a rough diamond. The early levels indicate what could be done, but only when the environment is made simple and constructed around the possibilities of fast, flowing action. At those points it positively flies along giving you a big fat grin from ear to ea...

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
Well, many of you will know I've not been the biggest fan of Nintendo of late, and when I heard about the Wii U I was less than impressed. And now the hardware specs are out... well.. I'm actually pleasantly surprised! Sounds like the whole thing has been done to give console level performance, pic...

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
Ahh I really want to like this machine, I really do, but I cannot help but feel it is going to hit no mans land in around 18 months. Mostly that belief stems from the hardware. Fishing around the net the internals do not look fantastic. A 1gig memory alongside a mid range AMD GPU (rumoured at a modi...

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
True, my only fear is that if the new machines launched year have more than 1gig the developers will use it to thier maximum, so anything less will mean some form of compromise.
It may not be huge, but that possibility is there.

Re: Borderlands
Right, Borderlands. The most insanely addictive yet mechanically simplistic shooter I can remember for a long time, the best bits of Borderlands are those I struggle to comment on. The reason for that is that I rarely played it in co-op, citing a lack of friends playing at the time and my schedules ...

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
Well well aint this an interesting pickle. The base stats of the machine concearn me here. 1GB of RAM is only double the 360 currently and I suspect the successor from both MS and Sony will be at least be double that if not more. Worse is the HDD capacity, at 32gig it seems positively tiny for any f...

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
This was supposed to be an inline reply to the author as well as Leon but Tapatalk got the better of me :p Yakuza Either a series or a special on Yakuza has been mooted several times and the franchise remains firmly on the list. With the rumoured (has it been confirmed yet?) Yakuza 1&2 HD colle...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid 4 is every excess of the universe packaged up into one great big dollop of accessible sneaky goodness. But it is only good if your a fan, if the journey that brought you here took you through Arctic tundras, deep jungle and secret underwater bases. Mechanically this was the best the...

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
A few personal suggestions: Alan Wake De Blob Yakuza 1/2 Disgaea 1 Gregory Horror Show Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Ouendan 1&2 Will leave it there for now, I have always found the more interesting shows the one where the title may be more of an unknown quantity, or slightly less mainstre...
