Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Actually, it did get better. I like it now.   (It's a lot better game with all the assists off and a clean screen for driving without the HUD clutter). I've been waiting on a sale on this for a while either digitally or physically but never seen one. I bet it's no longer on sale now...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I picked up Gran Turismo 7 for the PS5 in a sale recently. Now, I've been a huge fan of the series since day one and have played the death out of every single entry, except GT Sport. Oh boy, they really make it difficult to love this game. It is utterly maddening. What's all this bullshit with the c...

Re: Star Wars Outlaws
Despite not counting myself as "A Fan" by any stretch, I still have a lot of nostalgia for the original trilogy, the world and the sound effects (especially the sound effects). This looks great!

Re: Dragon's Dogma
Given all the excitement about Dragons Dogma 2 I decided to play the first game since I've started it twice and never finished it. I thought on my last attempt I'd not got too far but looking at my Switch stats it seems I'd put 35 hours in to it! Started again, anyway. I'm under no illusion I'll fin...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Just watched the first episode of Telemarketers (Sky/Now TV) after Louis Theroux posted about it earlier on Twitter. It's really interesting. An undercover investigation in to telemarketing scams in the US, by two complete amateur film makers who worked in the centres. It's only three episodes but i...

Brilliant game, and yeah, the soundtrack is exceptional. There are very few game soundtracks I'll listen to outside of the game, but this is one of them. Played this through twice but still never 100% it. Can't wait for Silksong.

Re: 633: Tekken series
Given the fact that fighting games are one of my lesser preferred genres, and even within that Tekken ranks pretty low on my list of those games I do still enjoy, it's fair to say I'm not the biggest Tekken fan in the world. This wasn't always the case. Tekken 2 was the game I got along with my PS1 ...

Re: Games Completed 2024
30 March: Gears of War (Xbox 360) Not the first time I finished this, but me and my kid finished our coop campaign run on Hardcore. A lot of fun, some frustration (especially during the split up sections where you can't revive each other) and a nice dosage of 2006 era nostalgia. We want to play thr...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Anyone here played Moonlighter ? I bought it for Switch because it was about £2 and had been on my watch list for ages. I think I'm enjoying it. It's a mixture of lots of different types of games - a little bit Stardew, a bit Animal Crossing, touches of early Zelda. You run a shop, but get the thing...

Re: Games Completed 2024
That is, by some distance, the most positive appraisal of Castlevania Legends I have ever read. Ha, I did look up the Wikipedia entry for the game after finishing it and was quite surprised to see it'd had a generally negative appraisal at the time! A lot of comments compared it unfavorably to the ...

Re: Basketball (NBA/BBL)
Feeling excited the NBA playoffs are just around the corner again! Heat not looking overly healthy this season, had a lot of injuries and sitting at 7th currently in the Eastern conference, so as things stand not an automatic progression to the playoffs and will have to get through the play-in tourn...

Re: Games you love because of Cane and Rinse?
There are lots of examples of games I initially didn't enjoy, but replayed off the back of listening to the show and ended up, in some cases, really enjoying them. Dishonored is one that springs to mind. Rented it from Blockbuster for the weekend back in the day on PS3 and didn't enjoy it at all. Af...

Games with completely unique mechanics
I was listening to The Computer Game Show podcast yesterday and Sean talking about Dragons Dogma 2, and I played a good chunk of the first game (but never got round to finishing it) and it occurred to me that the pawn system is something completely unique in gaming. Being able to hire other players ...

Re: 647: Luigi's Mansion 3
Before playing this game I'd played a little of the original back on GameCube and thought it was alright. Then when Luigi's Mansion 3 was released one of my boys was desperate to play it and fellow forumite, Kurt, very kindly lent me his copy through the post. My son absolutely loved the game, which...

Well this thread has turned in to bot spam central, hasn't it.
That last post was like school assembly: "...and so that is how bridges are made. And bridges are a bit like Jesus, aren't they. How Jesus supported his followers and allowed them to cross the chasm of their hearts".
