Re: Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy & Heavy Rain - Quantic Dream
Walking Dead has kind of come along and done what Heavy Rain was trying to do, but with much greater success. To give Heavy Rain credit where credit is due, the story did branch a lot more than Walking Dead has so far. But Walking Dead's writing is in a different league. I think more than anything w...

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/ The Legend of Korra
If that clip even slightly interests you, then watch my video on the first series that gives you further reasons to check Avatar out (without spoilers) pQCKmp3A7ts ...oh yeah, and I guested on several Digital Gonzo shows where we talked about the series in detail. http://www.gonzoplanet.com/2012/08/...

Avatar: The Last Airbender/ The Legend of Korra
It's kind of hard to convince adults that Avatar is actually genuinely good. I was hard to convince! I wrote it off as a silly kids show like Ben 10 or some other crap, until I marathoned Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix. And it also doesn't help the live action movie sucks balls. Hmmm, I wish ...

Re: Halo 4
Yeah, I put more hours into Halo 3's multiplayer than Reach's. I think Reach is the superior game, but Halo 3 was kind of the first online multiplayer game I REALLY got into.

Re: Halo 4
I think establishing how FPSs should control on consoles, recharging health (technically a shield in the original, but this impacted other games), grenades having their own trigger, swapping between 2 guns, etc had a pretty large impact on games. I don't rate Halo 1 as highly as others, but I recogn...

Re: All things Half-Life
Primarily it is the pacing, something that feels all over the place with long stretches that felt more like padding than something that benefitted the gameplay. The coast section is one standout of this but even near the end when your making your way up to the final confrontation the section felt a...

Re: Halo 4
I think Halo: CE's impact on the future of console shooters can not be understated. That said, I am nowhere near as attached to the world or the fiction as some people. I LOVE fighting the covenant troops in all the Halo games, and the vehicle sections are always a highlight. But the Flood have alwa...

Goodbye Game Night of Halo: Reach
Anyone interested in a big Halo: Reach game night before we all move on to Halo 4 (unless it's rubbish)? I was thinking Sunday 8pm?

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
So I finished ALL of The Shield, and I wanted to talk about it. I think The Shield is almost indisputably one of the best crime dramas around. The way it manages to make you sympathise with a extremely corrupt and morally questionable individual in Vic Mackey is really impressive. Michael Chiklis's ...

Re: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Glad you're enjoying Jay. It's quite long for an action game (like 15 - 20 hours?), but stick with it, there are some really cool moments
