You see it a fair bit with Megadrive stuff on eBay as well. They tend not to care to hide it that well though, obvious things like US Genesis artwork but on a Japanese shaped cart shell etc...
But yeah, for some reason the Nintendo handhelds suffer incredibly badly for it.

Heh.

I’m still not sure what kind of game 3 is going to be... previews don’t seem to suggest it’s quite the same sort of game as 2

I really didn’t get on with Ni No Kuni at all, I’d say it contributed to me falling out of love with the entire genre. There’s just so much level grinding in it. I know plenty of people that love it, but for me it’s design is outdated and everything that’s wrong with what is one of the most stagnant...

Yeah, it doesn’t make the puzzles easier to figure out the solutions to, just gives you a bit more time to execute that solution. So you still get the satisfaction of having solved it, but without the frustration of banging your head against something you’ve figured out but can’t get the execution s...

The rare replay version has two sets of controls, one that is the original n64 ‘single stick’ version, and another that attempts to map it to a modern twin stick setup.
They’re both pretty rough, it’s the main aspect of the game that doesn’t hold up that well.

She’s also the VA for the villain in Indivisible and is amazing at it. As the article says, the problems with Rampart are not on the VA. Simple example, one of Ramparts lines when you queue up is ‘Waiting, nothings better than waiting, except bloody everything else’. If you aren’t british, that soun...

A lot of the VAs in Overwatch are the right nationality, especially the Egyptians. And for how bad Tracer’s cockney accent is... her VA is actually British. Likely was told to over emphasise it, the performances are not subtle for any of the cast. The VA performance that’s bothering me most at the m...

Re: Are you genuinely excited for Xbox Series X|S & PS5?
Not excited at all for this one. Nothing at launch for either that demands my attention, and I’m quite content to just gamepass my way through the rest of the year on my XBO. At some point I’ll get an XSX but I see it more as an incremental upgrade, something I’ll do when I next upgrade my setup as ...

You don’t need to do the sleeping potion thing, the quest completes when you meet the main goal, however you get to it.

Been seeing a lot of talk about Genshin Impact, and as it’s a free to play title I figured I may as well take a look. It’s on mobile as well as PC and PS4, but I went with the PS4 version. It’s an open world RPG. It borrows a lot of mechanics and design elements from Breath of the Wild. It’s definit...

Re: Is there such thing as a perfect game?
As a developer you always strive for it, but I don’t think ‘perfection’ is possible. Every game ever made has things in it that the developer hates about it they’d love to do differently. That’s as true for games as it is for movies, books, high art, everything.

The talent always travels. And sometimes even when things are going great, people like to change the scenery sometimes.
I mean, of the people who spent significant time working on Fable 1, less than half were still around when we started Fable 3.

Bethesda have two ps5 exclusives in development, and ms have said that those will remain so. I wonder if we’ll see the ms games studios logo on a ps5 only game? Heh. This does show that the ms strategy is more about ‘get games onto gamepass’ rather than ‘prevent games being on the competitions hardw...
