Re: Videogame Deals

I think the ShopTo deal for the Wii U is the price that will push some sales. For me it's the price that system should be at and, with such a good exclusive, it's great to see. I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of space, games don't need to install in the same way that is necessary on the cur...

Re: Videogame News

I think it's great to see Nintendo supporting their products with DLC. I'm sure the quality will be there but the time for releasing them is crazy. There's no reason (from a development perspective) for it to take so long. That said, they've made a lot of people very happy! Tanooki Mario will be mine!

Re: Our next podcast recording: The Last of Us

I enjoyed the game because I enjoyed the characters. If I'm drawn to liking something strongly then I'm more likely to forgive little niggles or design choices than if I don't love anything at all. That was The Last of Us for me. What I will say though is that *that* world, the broken people and the...

Re: Videogame Deals

That's a cracking price. I've never finished Last Light, but I really enjoyed the first (as rough as it was - it's now in the engine from the second game in Redux though!) enough to complete it twice.

Re: The Last of Us

I finally finished it this time around and it's safe to say that now I understand what people were talking about. I've since gone back and finished it a second time on Grounded difficulty and wrapped up the Platinum. Utterly compelling and all the praise lavished upon it is completely understandable.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I enjoyed Twisted Metal and considered myself a fan of it more than any of my friends at School, but even when Sony's big announcement a couple of years back at e3 of a new Twisted Metal had me a little baffled. Was a little bit bizarre, I think that was the moment I became aware of just how much mo...

Re: Battlefield 4 (PS4) Platoon

I took a week off from it after hitting it quite hard, so I'll be on over next weekend if anyone fancies playing some. Myself, Don (Indiana747) and Pete (Chunky_M0nk13) will almost certainly be on.

Re: Xbox One

In stock on August 8th. Could be the one I pick up. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Console-Kinect-Titanfall-Assasins-Creed/dp/B00KGP9ZB4/ I would spin the two games on ebay. MIGHT keep the Kinect. Kinect is absolutely worth keeping, the navigation works, it does add something to some games but absolutely ...

Re: (Platinum's) The Legend of Korra

I doubt there will be any significant difference. Looking at the game, it doesn't seem like it has a visual style that's particularly taxing on hardware, and Platinum consistently make rock-solid 60fps games with good resolution too. Maybe there might be a bit better anti-aliasing, but again, that'...

Re: Nintendo Wii U

Is there? I think there's Bayonetta 2, but even that isn't something I'll be rushing out to buy day one. I dunno, I guess the next game I feel I must have is the new Zelda game they teased.

Re: (Platinum's) The Legend of Korra

That's good to hear, I'd be very interested in seeing how it looks on a current gen console, could look stunning.

Surprised this is for last gen rather than current gen, but I guess they know those systems by now.

Re: Destiny

It's every bit as brilliant as I expected from Bungie. Impressed with how everything has been done, from how codes were have out, the fact they gave an additional 2 codes for friends, how smooth the net code is, how it plays and how good it looks.

Sterling job Bungie. This is why you're the best.

Re: Battlefield 4 (PS4) Platoon

I think I might double dip and get this on PS4 too. How active is the community on PS4, is there a community on PS4? Has game stability increased? Myself, Don (Indiana747), Pete (Chunky_M0nk13) and Mark (Damocles693) are on pretty much every night for a few hours. There are a few others too. [WHITE...

Re: PlayStation Plus (and the PS Store in general)

That's ridiculous and, like arry_g, I too almost bought it accidentally. Only noticed right before the confirmation of order. Fault lies with Sony.

Re: PlayStation 4

You can actually preorder it via the PS4 store to get in the Beta and then cancel your order as, in the EU, you're charged on the games release not on order. I was told this by Tat_Sun :).
