Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Well the current events haven't changed my life much since we were out of season here on the island so work hadn't really started yet, but that hasn't stopped me from sinking a whole bunch more ours into Stellaris. Playing via XBOX Ultimate on PC so I get to play the fully updated version of the gam...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
Indeed, I've been meaning to pick up a copy of Plague Tale since it came out. As is often the case these days, it pays to procrastinate!

One of the things I'm loving about The Madalorian is its happiness to just have long minutes without anyone saying anything.

A 1976 game from the details on BoardGameGeek! That's only just younger than D&D.. Nice find!

Re: Subscription Services - a brave new world?
I see this rather like how I use Netflix. For a lot of stuff I'm happy to just watch what is on there. But for certain movies and shows I'll always get the UHD Blueray so I can a)watch it when I want. b)Ensure I get flawless quality c) Get a whole pile of extras/commentaries. This last aspect might ...

Re: Explain your user name and avatar
My user name was gifted by my wife. Looking for a tag whilst setting up my Xbox ID whenever ago, my wife suggested 'reprobate' but that was actually taken so 'reprobategamer' was a natural progression (we have a habit me and her of misappropriating words like 'monster', 'terror', 'horror' etc and u...

Football Manager 2019. I've not owned FM since 2010 and had been thinking of picking up FM19 for a long while now. But then it goes on comes to GamePass so now I get it for 'free' and can earn XBOX achievements. Sold! Going to take me a while to pick up on all the changes since 2010, but I spent a c...

Re: iOS and Android gaming
The bonfire: Forsaken Lands is now in beta on Android. It's been on iOS and Steam for a while, but the Android version is finally here. Well worth a look if you like a bit of city-building/survival. Looks great too.

Re: Console gaming set-up (TV etc)
One thing to check once you have the TV, many need you to 'turn on' 4K/HDR on the HDMI connections on the TV itself before the consoles will recognise your TV as 4K/HDR compatible, so be sure to look into that.

Re: Video Game Collection Vs. Sunlight
I do not know for certain but I would assume you can buy translusecent film to cover the windows with that allow the majority of light through but block UV, somewhat like most glasses, and certainly sun glasses do now. Not sure if that would darken your room too much though. Update: Looks like 3M ma...

Moved over to Gamepass Tltimate last night, although I need to wait for a Windows Update before I can install the base program :/ Hopefully the rollout will be quick. (You need the June update for Windows 10)

Re: E3 2019 - Conference times and general chat
Interesting, cacheing involves a lot more discrete write actions than mass storage does, and most SSDs don't hold up that well being written to over and over, I hope these consoles don't have limited lifespans because of that... My understanding is that that issue was for the earlier generations of...

Re: E3 2019 - Conference times and general chat
That Blair Witch game looked interesting. Did anyone else get the sense that when you die you start over again, well obviously you can do that in any game, but I mean like it felt the game was based around that. It seems strange if that is the case as 12 Minutes also looked like it worked the same ...

Re: E3 2019 - Conference times and general chat
Really likes Microsofts drive and direction at the moment. That GamePass Ultimate is perfect for me, and the games coming look very interesting. As a long time fan of Double Fine I'm glad to see them get some good backing. Little disappointed Ninja Theory have gone for a multilayer game, not what I'...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
That GamePass Ultimate is a slam dunk for me, given I already pay for GamePass and Gold, uping it a little to get GamePass for PC is a no brainer. Really loving Microsofts focus and direction right now.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread
Gamepass is definitely improving but the problem we have, generally, is that we want to play all the new hot games out week per week rather than scrolling through a bunch of "old stuff" in a similar fashion to netflix. As a collective, we need to stop acting like a game isn't worth playin...

Re: Our Patreon
It's the part where they assume it will affect 'a large proportion of the listeners', how can one possibly know that. In fact, given they believe the content is skewed so much in the first place, it would be safer to assume the majority of subscribers adhere to the same ideologies otherwise they wou...

Re: No Man's Sky
I played this hard from launch day until about 60 hours and thought it was - Bland but enjoyable. Every new update has really cool new features that always seem to almost give me the drive to give it another go. My concern is that no matter what they add, or how cool it seems, this is always going ...
