Re: November 2019 monthly
The thing with the $10 a month idea is how many months do they have to be a supporter until they get the pay off? Say it's 3 consecutive months then it's actually $30 they will have to pay which will be offputting. However if it is just 1 month you risk them cancelling straight after and you just en...

Re: November 2019 monthly
It would still mean the higher tier get both episodes in their feed. Both will show up at the same time and then it means they have to check the lengths of both to know which to listen to.
I may be completely wrong but I am fairly sure that's how Patreon works.

Re: November 2019 monthly
That is true but rather than doing it at 2 weeks and 4 weeks you could have the bottom tier release at the same time as the wide release but as the extended version. So for instance $1 a month gets you a longer episode but not any earlier. $2 a month gets the longer episode but also 4 weeks earlier....

Re: November 2019 monthly
I always enjoy these episodes and tend to listen to them the day they pop up. It's interesting to her your thoughts on the Patreon stuff. Personally I think the people that complain about podcasts being locked behind a paywall are just entitled tossers who think they should get everything for free. ...

Re: Let's rank Tarantino films, for no reason whatsoever...
Oh yeah, that was dead tense and the guy playing the german officer was great. I was worried his campness might veer into allo allo territory, but he toed the line wonderfully. Christoph Waltz. Won himself an Oscar for it. And then another one for his character in Tarantino's Django Unchained a cou...

The fact that he had to double down too and claim he had been paying £20 to the Patreon each month as if you wouldn't have that information!

Leon I've got to say I'm glad you don't bend to these people and stand your ground. A lot of people would do anything to keep their followers on board. I respect your integrity. It obviously helps that atleast in this situation the follower was a complete idiot.

Re: Well Twitter has been interesting today hasn't it.
Every six months or so, you get one dude and I always wonder how the hell they only just clicked... It's mad what it starts though. Someone commented saying they didn't agree with the guy but weren't happy they saw Jay call him a dickhead their feed. THEIR FEED. As if Jay broke into their feed in t...

Re: Well Twitter has been interesting today hasn't it.
Extreme left? What does that even mean? You either believe everyone is equal or you don't. There aren't degrees of equality, unless you're a communist pig in a bloody orwell novel. You can't be too left, can you? This is something that really gets to me. A few years ago thinking everyone should be ...

I don't know if everyone here follows you guys on Twitter so just thought I'd bring it up.
What a day.
I'm glad you stick by yourselves and don't bend for anyone though. Keep up the good work.

Re: Board/Card Games - The obligatory "analogue" gaming thread
That Jurassic Park game looks amazing! I've never really been into board games but absolutely love Zombies!!! It's kind of a lot to explain the game in full but you have map tiles rather than a board and build the game area (the base game is a town but there are a lot of add ons) so it is different ...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Terminator: Dark Fate (Cinema) There's the makings of a good film in there somewhere but the second hour falls apart. Linda Hamilton is terrible. Arnie is the comic relief. People laughed along with him in T2 because he was iconic and entertaining, not because he was actually funny. He was just Arn...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
That's the bit that threw me. Is there any reference to Ripley's daughter in the theatrical cut? Because if there wasn't then I have seen the Special Edition before because I was aware of it and how it added depth to that relationship. To be honest I've seen both versions quite a lot so they have k...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Aliens: Special Edition (Now TV) I''m pretty sure this was my first time with the Special Edition. The opening scene with Newt's parents definitely felt new to me. It wasn't necessary. In fact the opening hour felt slightly baggy, which is something I never thought I'd say about Aliens . The theatr...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
@ThirdMan that is absolutely savage. But at the rate you seem to watch films it doesn't really surprise me that they could get mixed up in your head. I have always been on the side of Alien being better than Aliens though. Both are great films but at the end of the day witout Alien there would be no...
