The owners of the IP get a small cut a la Netflix. Given they aren’t abandonware I’d prefer to do that and support the developers providing the service works of course.

Re: Show Us Where You Game

Apologies. Without derailing the thread further I’m going to have to disagree with everything you said in your last post Clippa but that’s my own personal opinion. You have yours and that’s fine. ——— My gaming setup is an untidy mess of wires in the living room. My wife hates it but I have a ps3, ps...

Re: November 2019 monthly

As you know I agree. I like the idea to extend the patreon restriction to 4 weeks. How easy would it be to tier it so 1 dollar gets it a 2 weeks early and 2 dollars a 4 weeks etc. If patreon do all the backend stuff it might be straightforward. Apologies for banging on about this but I want you all ...

Re: Retro gaming

Quick question.

I’m thinking of buying an OSSC to play my old consoles on my flatscreen but I wondered how rhythm action games fared using it e.g guitar hero, rhythm heaven series, donkey konga etc.

Any feedback as a google search hasn’t thrown up much info.

Re: Show Us Where You Game

Moon is excellent; any similar or sci fi movie recommendations from the 2010s gratefully received. Moon is a favorite. Another Earth was good. Ex Machina was fantastic. Also check out Monsters, Attack the Block, Under the Skin, Sunshine, Ad Astra, Annihilation, Midnight Special, District 9, The Mar...

Re: I am going to clear my backlog and try and keep a record here

A few tips as I have been doing the same. Its important to make sure you alternate between genres and after every long game do one or two short ones. Good mentally to see the list getting shorter. I cheated and thought the Cane and Rinse team must have thought long and hard about it so I approached ...

My final playtime was 45 hours and that was with doing hardy any side quests past chapter 3. Wow, you must've been gunning through the game, I'm on chapter 6 and 100 hours in so far and it's all about the side missions for me, along with building roads, getting 5 stars from everybody and unlocking ...

I’m at 80 hours and I’m on chapter 7. It’s not the sort of thing I stick on for a few mins so if i put it on I’m up until the early hours which I can’t do every night (I wish!).

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I’ve been quarantined in my bedroom as I’ve got Man Flu or a similar near deadly disease. So I’ve hooked up the CRT on a chair by the bed and I’m playing the PS2. I’ve stuck on burnout and burnout 2 as I wanted to give them another whirl and listen to the C&R podcast. Burnout was fun to revisit ...

Flabyo, this is a brilliant thread and the way you’ve structured your posts is great. Do you have any kind of running order as I might give a few a whirl at the same time?

Re: Death Stranding

That does kinda concern me, cause it feels like if you wait a year or so before coming to this one you will have missed out on what, to some, seems to be the major selling point. I'll probably get it sometime next year so if our games coincide we could friend up. Assuming that friends are put in th...

Re: Our next podcast recording (23.11.19) - 397: Asteroids series

My mum used to work in Silica shop during its Atari and Amiga trading peak. She remembers Asteroids as a popular cultural revelation with copies flying off the shelves faster than they could fill them. Local and Tabloid newspapers published a story about the 1000th copy of Asteroids which my mum hap...

I still have monster cans and am on chapter 3. I have no urgency to get through the game as I am enjoying it so much. I don’t know what’s a spoiler but I’ll hide this anyway I’ve been enjoying supporting other players. Delivering supplies, completing and upgrading their structure and paving my way a...

Planescape: Torment has always been on my backlog so I was pleased to see it on this years playlist so I could give it a whirl. Works fine for me on iOS with safari too.

I’d love to be able to upload photos from my phone directly so that would be a feature which would be nice albeit a luxury.

Agreed. A bit of early Christmas spirit.

My Noah aged 4.75 said we must win it for other Noah and has gone to bed happy now. When I got home from work the first thing he asked me was if you won it?

Delighted for you.
