Re: No Man's Sky

It is very much a new game now. Completely reworked crafting system, space stations are FULL of aliens, ships kick up dust when they fly low, sharing a base, helping each other with materials, there's even ammunition in the game now that you have to craft.. I don't recall that before, sure you have ...

Re: No Man's Sky

Only days away now. Really looking forward to seeing what new. I've not had my PS4 booted up in months, and barely at all this year so not seen it for a good while. Plus it will be enhanced on the One X :)

Re: How much have you spent on Steam?

$1,211.90

Way less than I would have thought as I was a full on PC gamer for years. Although I would guess in the last 4 years since the XBOX One came out the figure hasn't increased much outside a few $15 humble bundles.

Re: The World Cup 2018

If they don't want to break up the game I'd be perfectly happy for them to review things after games and award yellow cards for foul play and play acting that add in to the same counts (Thinking more in the league here) even if it didn't save that game, knoing they are being monitored might go some ...

I thought Tunisia were going to hold out last night.

On another note, I hope this VAR doesn't make it into the English league. We'll have penalties at every corner otherwise.
Or you know, the players could stop cheating and not hold on to each other. ;)

Re: The World Cup 2018

PES 2018 is in GamePass and FIFA 18 is free for all MS Gold members right now.. if you have a One.

But yes, that was a jolly good kick about. Looked like Spain would walk all over them for a while, but they kept on fighting. Good game.

Also True Achievements have a great page for tracking games that are making use of the Xs power in some way:

https://www.trueachievements.com/xbox-o ... nced/games

Assuming you own a 4K TV with HDR (I don't myself yet but still have an X, because better is still better ;) )

Re: E3 2018 - Conference times and general chat

I was kind of hoping Fallout 76 would be a kind of reboot of the franchise with the nuclear war coming in the 70's rather than the 50s/60s of the current setting. Thought it could have been fun to have a different aesthetic to the games. Ah well.

Re: E3 2018 - Conference times and general chat

My MS highlights: Happy Phoenix Point is coming to XBOX, was rather worried it would be PC only and I play so little on the PC since I got my One X. Picking up Ninja Theory is a move I'm happy to see. Mainly to see that team get the backing they deserve I wasn't expecting a DyingLight 2, but that ne...

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Linda and I will be playing this at some point. Played a far bit of the original, but it always felt like a game that needed some multiplayer to brighten up the downtime. I've seen complaints that it's a bit dull and methodical, but for me that's capturing the reality of a zombie apocalypse. It's a ...

Re: New phones!

I've not used for a long time if I'm honest. Given we have a TV each and a PS4 and XBOX One each when I want to play I always have the option of playing on the console, so it wasn't really a feature I ever used much other than for the novelty of it. Life without kids can be so freeing ;) Also I pick...

Re: New phones!

I've been rocking with a Sony Z2 for a good few years now, only just starting to get a bit wonky as it's a generation behind on the OS now. Been very happy with it. As you say it can remote play from the PS4, and you can use a DualShock controller with it without any third party software for that or...

Re: Videogame News

Xbox One X owners: Red Dead Redemption has been given the enhanced treatment. Update it with the 600MB patch and effectively get treated to a free ‘remaster’, with the choice of either 60fps or 9 times the pixel count, which I think looks rather tremendous. Same deal for Portal 2 as well! Oh wow. N...

Re: Books completed (2018)

Old Man's War - John Scalzi My first time reading Scalzi. SOme nice hard sci-fi elements whist maintaining a human story. Was very entertaining, will have to check out some more of his work. Been a slow start to the year bookwise, I tend to do more in the summer when I'm working 7-days a week and p...

Welcome to the Scorpio club! :D Warning, an increased interest in backwards compatible enhanced games is highly likely! ;)
