Re: Our next Resident Evil podcast recording (8.9.18) - 336: Resident Evil 4 (Biohazard 4)
It's a close tie for me between Resi 2, 4 and 7 for my favourite game in the series. Resi 4 was where the Resi series best hit their signature balance in tone between camp dialogue and genuine horror. The combat was dramatically improved over previous entries whilst still retaining at least a degree...

Yes! Just spotted it. Rather pushes the definition of "summer", but hopefully the wait will have been worth it and they'll have ironed out all the (chaos) bugs!

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Metal Gear: Solid: Rising: Revengance! With extra nanomachines. Hollow Knight - one of the best games I have played in the past year. Trauma Centre: Under The Knife. The World Ends With You - hopefully a bunch of folk will pick this up on switch if they missed it on DS. Knights of the Old Republic I...

Re: All things Kingdom Hearts (and its ridiculous numbering system)
KH was amazing. I was in my early twenties when I played it and I was a bit sceptical about the kiddie elements, but I found it to be a superb JRPG and I was completely sold on all the Disney elements. I had never thought of myself as much of a Disney fan, but I became surprisingly nostalgic playing...

Re: Hollow Knight
Amazing game. one of the best games I've played and certainly the best value game I've played. I've never played a true "metroidvania" game before and this was a real eye-opener for me. It reminded me a lot of Dark Souls in terms of the atmosphere, the challenge, the lore component and the...

Re: Special No.1: Mega Drive
I had been into video games for a few years already. Trying to get as far through Gauntlet and R Type as I could on the Spectrum with my big cousin and trying to make my collection of 10ps last until the end of Double Dragon in the arcades, but the Mega Drive was where I really started falling in lo...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
Really looking forward to the Switch release. Will be great to play DS flexibly. Planning to go magic user for the first time in a Souls game. And I want the Solaire amiibo!
