No, please do! I for one love reading about people's times in the Souls games - especially a first run!

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
There's no shame in looking up a guide. The walkthrough on IGN is great and was essential to my first play through. Listen to the Dark Calls podcast too. A guy guides another guy through the game and it's hilarious.

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
To clarify, I'm not saying it's not being supported, or that owners aren't enjoying it. But I am predicting it'll be dead in a year and won't catch on. I hope I'm wrong because any new ways to play games are great. I just don't think the mainstream is ready for it, and probably never will be. I thin...

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
My two cents: give it another year and Sony will pull support for PSVR. It's going nowhere fast, and will never, ever be mainstream. Not in our lifetimes.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Yeah I was going to say, arrows are useless against most bosses. You're probably thinking of the Dragon sitting on the bridge in the Undead Burg where you can keep shooting his tail to get a sword. But actually, that sword isn't really worth getting in my opinion. Stick at it. Best game ever. You ju...

Re: What's Out This Week?
Quite a good week for fairly niche releases I think. Yakuza, Undertale, Windjammers, Fishing Planet... 4 games I'd like to play. The first three of which I shall probably wait for a sale just because I am busy with the Witcher 3 at the moment and the last one will be a cracking game to play via remo...

Possible PS+ leak ahead of tomorrow's announcement. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/gaming/640953/PS-Plus-September-2017-LEAKED-inFAMOUS-Second-Son-Child-of-Light-spotted-PlayStation/amp Infamous Second Son and Child Of Light. I'd be very happy with both those. Loved Infamous...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've played all of them up to 4. Loved the Ezio Trilogy, didn't like 3, 4 was better but I never finished it and by then I'd had enough of the series. I'm really disappointed by Freedom Cry though. I've been looking forward to it and saved it a couple of weeks till I had time to bash through it in a...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Assassins Creed.... oh, Assassins Creed. You useless heap of junk. Tried to play Freedom Cry tonight. Gave up after four complete crashes in two hours. What I played up till then was pure AssCreed tedium. I really hoped the tighter more linear story would make it enjoyable, but it was just absolute ...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
I genuinely feel both admiration for and bemusement of people who attempt playing through a huge RPG in Japanese. Like people who played through Persona 5 before it came out in the UK. It must be such a huge undertaking to painstakingly translate each word in such text heavy games. Hats of to you la...

Re: All things Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku)
Loved Yakuza 0 but it's the only one I've played although I'm looking forward to the remakes of 1 and 2. Quick question, do the other games in the series have so many time wasting things to do like arcade games and pool and darts etc? That was a big part of the game for me.

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread
Now we all know the best kind of mini games in RPGs are fishing games (damn you Witcher 3. Would it really have been too much to ask for a little fishing game to have been included!?) and this week the free to play 'Fishing Planet' launches on PS4. I'm genuinely a little bit excited about this! As s...

Some good points I'd not really though of there, guys. Particularly about the phone maybe dragging you out of the experience more than immersing you in it. We would probably discover that much like real life, driving whilst using a phone isn't a great idea!

Yeah I'm really pleased they're doing that. I'd love to be able to play the whole series without going back to PS3.

Video game companion apps
Given that everyone and his dog has a smart phone these days, the world of video game companion apps isn't as big as it could, or even should be. Over the years I've tried a few, but most feel pretty pointless and not much use at all. I can't see any reason why you could use your phone as a map that...
