Re: Battlefield 3 (PS3)
I think my PSeye was trying to echo cancel my TV when I had headphones connected but I'm starting to think I'll need a dedicated mic, any suggestions? Can't really go wrong with the official Bluetooth headset, although their mic sensitivity means that they can easily pick up your TV volume too so s...

Re: Cane and Rinse meetup
I'll say this, the idea of a meet-up has already been mentioned - kinda more in passing at this stage perhaps - and it is something we have put thought to. It's also something that if - or more likely when - we decide to do it we will put as much thought and preparation into it as we have behind eve...

Re: Battlefield 3 (PS3)
No worries about any stats Mike, when we play as a squad we tend to do alright for points even if we're on the losing side just because we're working as a squad.

Re: Half Life 3
I don't think Valve are relevant in todays gaming scene. I'm gonna disagree with this too. Valve, possibly more than any other developer out there, have revolutionised the very gaming scene itself with regards to digital distribution, not to mention that would the FPS market be a strong as it is to...

Re: Resident Evil
I think this is a franchise in need of a serious rethink or reboot from a team that have a clear idea where they want to take it (and preferably not down the third person action shooter route either).

Re: Battlefield 3 (PS3)
Just picked this up, 6 gigs of patches and maps is a bit extensive but I'm up for a game sometime if anyone's interested. Last and only game I played in the series was Battlefield Vietnam so I'm a bit rusty. Cool beans, send me a FR (tag is in the sig) and we'll sort out some squad shenanigans. I'm...

Never played PE1 but I still have my copy of Parasite Eve 2 which I really quite enjoyed (at the time), I always wanted to play the first one but for whatever stupid reason it still has never gotten a release over here.

Re: Bayonetta 2
Sega have nothing to do with this as it's published by Nintendo. I think this is possibly more of an indication as to the current state of SEGA as a publisher as they apparently passed on publishing this game, thus allowing for Nintendo to step in and grab exclusivity. Perhaps at last Nintendo have...

I still cant believe you guys seem to get kicked alot by server owners. This seems to be a console thing though. So when are we going to see a Cane and Rinse Server then?? No, it a Don thing I barely get booted from the games I play ;) I'm gonna rent a PS3 server just for a weekend, possibly the we...

Re: All things LittleBigPlanet (1, 2, PSP, Vita & Karting)
I think one of the reasons I never got a handle on this game is that I never really dedicated myself in having some online sessions with friends. Since we now have this spanking new forum, full of amazing people, I think I should rectify this issue sometime very soon.

Re: New PS3 (Slimmer still: 12GB & 500GB models)
Admittedly, getting one of the old PS3s with backwards compatibility would be nice, it's hard to find one for a reasonable enough price. I do think it's a shame they stopped that. I think if it had never been available I wouldn't think about it, but to take it away was a strange one. This was the o...

Yeah there are those, but I was thinking of ones that try to utilise it in a more interesting manner such as Echochrome 2 and LBP2.ratsoalbion wrote:There are a load of Wii to Move ports (mostly lightgun): HotD: Overkill, Dead Space Extraction, RE Chronicles... just off the top of my head.

Re: Technical Q&A - all consoles
I've never used the remote I prefer to switch over manually, the main reason I went for this was simply the volume of connections allowed me to have everything hooked up through component and hooked up to my sound system. Apparently there's a newer version that also has HDMI input/output.

Re: New PS3
One interesting thing: no rear USB port for PlayStation Eye. No doubt a result of the poor Move pick-up but you'd think with MS changing their console design to make Kinect "symbiotic" that they could have achieved something similar in the redesign. Not a biggie. Just interesting. The lau...

Re: Technical Q&A - all consoles
I've been using a Joytech Control Center for the past five years and never had any problems with it, it doesn't have HDMI but has component or composite output along with digital output for audio too.

Re: New PS3
It doesn't surprise me, Sony have done "budget" versions of all their main consoles to date. I have to say though I personally think that grooved design for those top panels is fugly as hell but the 500Gb HHD ain't bad though.

Re: Videogames Q&A
Other thing to bear in mind if you want it as a media player is that the PS3 is good for this, but not the best, in that it doesn't support all HD formats such as MKV I get around this problem by using PS3 Media Server on my Desktop, I stream movies music and whatever without any problem from my Ma...
