Re: 311: Actual Sunlight

I downloaded and played this last year when it was included rather surprisingly in the vita PlayStation plus line up. After playing it I could not believe that someone at Sony had the bravery to not only suggest it be included but that it made it through what I can only assume are multiple hurdles b...

Re: 301: Resident Evil (1996) *recording 07.01.2018

I wonder whether it is worth combining this podcast and the updated version. Maybe it’s me but obviously the graphics overhaul and controller changes are important but maybe not enough for a separate podcast.

Re: 302: Bleed

What a great start to the year. Prior to the cane and rinse playlist announcement I hadn’t heard of this game and ordinarily wouldn’t be a genre I would entertain but I thought I would give it a try. I am quite rubbish when it comes to bullet hell/twitch shoot em ups so I was delighted to find an ea...

Re: 312: Rampage

I remember this game well from my childhood. One of my best friends at the time had this on his master system but it was the only game he wouldn’t let me play. I was fully aware that it was multiplayer but for some bizarre reason he forced me to watch him for hours on end and described it tantalisin...

Re: GOTY 2017

Good list. I tried to play severed on iOS and vita but bounced off it in the first hour or so. Worth another shot?

Re: GOTY 2017

My personal goty is tricky as nearly all the games I played were from the previous year. I haven’t finished resi 7 or horizon but both would probably make the cut if I had. Overall I think Edith finch was amazing and made such an impact I was trying to explain to everyone at work how amazing it was ...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I’m actually waiting till the list comes out before I decide what game to play next. I think I’ve got more excitement for this than for my Christmas presents (amazon wish lists have made things very predictable)

Re: Final Fantasy II

I posted this late in the final fantasy 1 thread but applies to this game too. Similar to some of the previous contributors to the ff1 podcast thread I set off on a personal quest many years ago to play all of the numbered final fantasy games. Bizarrely this was in reaction to renting final fantasy ...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Haha I thought I was the only one who did that! To be honest it’s the only time I buy the radio times now sadly. I’ve decided I’m going to properly play along this time as previously I’ve been listening after playing wishing I’d been able to air my views. Just played snatcher and blade runner as the...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

1550 suggestions! Crikey I don’t think I know that many games let alone that many good ones. So if there’s one podcast a week then that’s the next 30 years sorted...provided there’s no more suggestions :)

All of them? Wow. Is there a post with the long list on as I’d be intrigued to know what’s been suggested so far?

Similar to some of the previous contributors to this thread I set off on a personal quest many years ago to play all of the numbered final fantasy games. Bizarrely this was in reaction to renting final fantasy 8 from blockbuster and enjoying it but finding out that when I went to buy it it was too e...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

I’ve not looked through all 60+ pages of previous suggestions so apologies for duplicates. My suggestions are: Timesplitters Bio shock infinite Hit man (episodic release) Walking dead season 2 What remains of Edith finch Oxenfree Inside Virginia Shadow of memories Danganronpa series Virtues last rew...

Re: Gaming as a parent / raising little gamers

That’s a nice idea. I suppose stardew valley would be of a similar vein and I like the idea of investing time in creating something rather than destroying everything like in most games. I haven’t played it so I don’t know if it’s appropriate

Re: The Witcher III: Hearts of Stone / The Witcher III: Blood and Wine

This is my first post so bear with me. I feel like a bit of a voyeur who has escalated given I’ve listened to your podcast for years but never got round to posting. My experience with the Witcher series began with the main game which overall I found an incredibly enjoyable and well made experience w...

Re: Gaming as a parent / raising little gamers

I enjoyed reading the above posts and it made me take the time to register and post for the first time. I echo a lot of the sentiments above that there is a time and a place for certain games (and indeed other media) with a definite impact on children which sometimes cannot be anticipated. My son is...
