Heh, it seems that the minds behind the Yakuza series have stopped playing Dead Rising and have been playing Crazy Taxi and Cabela's Outdoor Adventure instead!

A Little bit of LittleBigPlanet 2
Today is Friday 19th Oct and I was thinking if anyone would be up for a little muck about in LBP2 tonight at 9pm? Probably just for a couple of hours or so but who knows - could be fun!

Re: Halo 4
I guess I'm still baffled a little as to why they don't use the actual game footage to convince us to purchase but at least the Halo trailers have always been quite watchable though. Halo 4's is no exception - although I still think the ones for Halo 3 have been the best so far. I sometimes wonder i...

Re: Battlefield 3
Yowza! New Aftermath trailer. PcO5ajxGenc Curious as to why they decided to go with a mo' capped action trailer rather than actual game play as they have done in previous trailers for these expansions? However, if that earthquake is something that happens in-game then that could be most intriguing h...

Re: The Unfinished Swan
Out now for PS+ subscribers I immediately bought and downloaded this upon arriving home from work yesterday. However - true to form (see my 'Pile of Shame' and forthcoming podcast schedule) it will no doubt be a while before I get to actually playing it. It clocks in at around 2 hours so you could ...

Re: The anime discussion and recommendations thread
The thing that amazes me these days are some the fan-subbed anime you can find online. The speed in which they work, with the shows appearing online only a day or two after they have been shown in Japan, and the general accuracy of their subtitling makes me wonder if they are professionals? It also ...

Re: DooM - All things DooM
My first experience playing DOOM was on the PS1 and thoroughly enjoyed them at the time. I bought DOOM 3 on the Xbox during its first week of release, yet never finished it. I wanted to play it in co-op but the mechanic of one having to hold the bloody torch while the other got to wield the gun piss...

Re: The anime discussion and recommendations thread
Sorry, I mean that there was a lot of dialogue in Japanese without accompanying English subtitles. I guess there could be several possibilities for this; The timing could be off for the subs, but as this is Spirited Away I doubt they would be so sloppy - this is something that occasionally happens ...

Re: The anime discussion and recommendations thread
I was introduced to Ghibli films by watching them in Japanese with subtitles. The English dubbed versions just don't really feel the same somehow. On the whole I'd agree that the Japanese dubs are always much better. However, with some of the earlier Ghibli dubs I think the English language dub is ...

Here's another series that I thought was interesting for several reasons. Always loved playing Battlezone in the arcades as a kid, having to peer through that viewfinder to see the screen always made it feel very distinct (was bloody crap at it though!).

Re: Battlefield 3 (PS3)
I didn't set this up, in part because I knew that the usual suspects would be playing this anyway but I also felt I hadn't done enough to promote it. It makes for a better choice to pick the double XP weekend to do this anyway so I'm gonna hit it up for then instead as it gives that little extra inc...

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes
I really like that C&C music! :) Although this isn't technically from a video game, it's honestly really hard not to think of this game when I listen to Carter Burwell's Millers Crossing score these days. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o52/Krylon70/TheLastGuardian_Hero_zpsb8ac7c6e.jpg http:/...

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes
Here's another bunch of my favourites of recent years. An obvious choice perhaps made famous when coupled with that trailer, but there's little denying it's quite an evocative piece of music in its own right. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o52/Krylon70/DeadIslandTrailerThemefeatMairiCampbellPete...
