Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I didn't mind Ninja Blade, it's very much a turn-your-brain-off kind of game. £2 sounds about right though  I've been playing King's Field 2 to stave off the Dark Souls cravings. Seems horribly, glacially slow at first but I clicked with it pretty quickly. You can definitely see the genesis of ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've never finished Ocarina myself, despite something like 7 or 8 attempts. Tried the 3DS version recently and got that "urgh" feeling in my stomach after a few hours, I just can't get into it at all. Feel less ashamed knowing it's not just me.

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
That sounds awesome P.E.T.E. Have fun. Do you often make noises with accordions? That must be why you play hunting horn. Naw I'm simulating the Hunting Horn experience using whatever's lying around, the accordion noises are coming out of my mouth. Going to paint some cool flames on the golf bag to ...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
Sorry folks, I won't have access to my consoles for a few days. I'll be here, alone, mournfully swinging a golf bag around and making accordion noises. Ready for more next week though.

This thread has sent me off down the emulation rabbit hole. Memories are being crushed
Turns out Omega Boost and Einhander are both still brilliant.

Re: Can anyone recommend some PS1 games..?
Bishi Bashi Special seems like it'd be a great fit. Also Kurushi, Einhander, Alundra, Grandia, Suikoden 2?
Edit: also, +1 for Tomba!

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
The only way I can connect to other players at all on WiiU is to ignore my router entirely and set up a wired connection straight from the modem. The online setup on that machine can be an absolute arse ache at times. I don't mind hosting, my connection's usually pretty stable once I get a lobby goi...

Re: PlayStation Plus (and the PS Store in general)
Anyone have any experience with this Dynasty Warriors game on Vita? I'm aware that there are certain folk who really love that series and I wonder if this'd be a good jumping off point. I've tried demos in the past and found them kinda dull and mashy but presumably there's something there I'm not &q...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
I was just about to post about this  I'm free Thursday and Friday night, ready to serve up some more musical justice. I'd like to try to lop the tail off a Nargacuga at some point if you guys are up for that? The part I need is only about a 1 in 5 drop but taking the tail off bumps up the odds ...
