Well. This is unexpected, but cool.
Blade Runner (the PC game) is being ported to consoles.

Re: Our next-but-one podcast recording (23.2.20) - 408: Tales from the Borderlands
Full confession - I do not enjoy Borderlands as a series. I played the first game co-op with a friend of mine and literally fell asleep as we played. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I would love to see a Fallout/Obsidian style RPG in this world because there's genuine merit in it...

Re: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore
I'm still infuriated at the fact we've had this, Catherine AND a P5 spin-off announced and released all AFTER SMT V was announced and we've had ZERO information on it. It's bloody infuriating.

Re: Psikyo Shooting Stars
I picked up the Asian releases for these in Hong Kong - they are three separate volumes with four games on each cartridge. I prefer this format of six games per cart, but don't have the money to double dip right now, sadly. Zero Gunner 2 is a lot of fun, as is Gunbarich. I had never really played an...

Re: 449: Super Mario Odyssey
I've played multiple Mario games, but this is the first one I've actually finished. I'm not very good at platformers, but I'd heard so much positive buzz about the game that I had to grab it when I purchased my Switch. And that buzz was correct! There is so much variety in this game that I was alway...

Re: Our next podcast recording (17.1.20) - 401: Red Dead Redemption II
I'd like to add to the conversation how bitterly disappointed I am that Rockstar have totally abandoned single player story DLC. I find it quite refreshing to buy a game and get the complete content when I pay for it. Hmm. I don't really agree with that sentiment - I mean I do literally agree with ...

Re: 411: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I have tried all the Soulsborne games and this is the first one that has clicked with me. Maybe it's because this game was originally going to be a Tenchu game, but I really enjoy being able to flick around from spot to spot and there's a flexibility I've felt in this game that I haven't felt in oth...

Re: 417: Marvel's Spider-Man
I really disliked aspects of this story. Particularly killing Aunt May - it felt like they did it just to set it apart from other iterations of Spider-Man. I liked that they used a lot of old villains, and I was okay with them tossing in Mr. Negative as a newer one for variety. It worked well, and h...

Re: 429: The Mark of Kri
It's been a long time since I played this game, but I remember thoroughly enjoying my play through and learning all the skills that serve you during the game. My one big complaint that I remember is that you're forced to toss out everything you learn for the last level (or boss - my memory is a bit ...

Re: The Cane and Rinse podcast Volume 9 (2020)
Two guesses
1) Suikoden - there's only five games, six if you count Suiko Tactics
2) Legacy of Kain because they said "epic new series", not "epic new RPG series", and there's only five games.

Re: 2019 in Gaming and your Game of the Year
I played Danganronpa 1 & 2 for the first time and loved them, this type of visual novel/point and click are right up my alley. Truberbrook was also, but I think it was largely overlooked this year, as were State of Mind (I played on Switch), Daedalus: The Return of Golden Jazz (a Jake Hunter pre...

Re: Need for Speed: Heat and the Conversation Around Racing Games
Completely agree with the original poster.
I feel like the "always online, open world experience" has killed track design for racing games. There's no personality now, it's just generic cities to roam around it.
I really miss arcade racers.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Glad you're enjoying it! I've had PSVR since launch, and while I don't use it anywhere near as much as I'd like to, I've always been really impressed with it. The library of games is now really strong. Moss, Astrobot, Beat Saber, Blood & Truth, Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite, Superhot, Skyrim, Wip...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Well I moved continents, moved countries and got a PSVR for my birthday. I love it. Like I really, genuinely love it. Battlezone is a blast, I just finished Loading Human (okay) and I've been looking at importing some horror games from the UK that aren't released in NA for VR. Not sorry about the in...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Two suggestions: Stick it to the Man Flipping Death Same publisher. Both on PS4 and on Steam. They're very reminiscent of Tim Schaeffer's games in the style of humour. Sometimes it's quite dry, sometimes it's quite silly. Light puzzles/platforming. If you haven't checked them out, I recommend them.

Triads. People are claiming they were hired by the government to make the protesters afraid. There have been multiple photos of the police standing and talking with the Triads, and now people are accusing the police of being in cahoots with them. There's video of police leaving the station where the...

I picked up Dimension Drive last week, and I think I've finally found a game that clicks with me.
It's sort of like Ikaruga.....in a way, except instead of changing colours, you jump from one side of the screen to the other.
I picked it up on a whim in HK last week and it's been a happy surprise.
