Re: Jet Set Radio HD
I also still have this on the Dreamcast but haven't played it for ages. I downloaded the demo on PS3 and thought it was awful, though. Real nostalgia shatterer! Controls were terribly twitchy, camera made my head dizzy! I deleted it after ten minutes.

Band pimp - some videos if you like
I've been playing in this covers band for a couple of years, we only gig 4-5 times a year and tend to just mess around at practice for laughs most the time. Here are a few videos of us. They're all a little rough around the edges and full of mistakes / bum notes, but whatever. 70KW-j1ridI _Bg-YMKNtb...

That's a bit weird seeing as the original was a PSN exclusive for so long.Sean wrote:Think it's a 360 exclusive, which is out today.Wizard Of Odd wrote:Is it even out yet? Haven't seen it on PSN.

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
Last ever Nintendo non-handheld console? I think maybe.
I wish they'd go the Sega way and give up on hardware and make games only. Mario Galaxy on PS3 would be awesome.

I loved Radiant and Ikaruga, but after watching the video I'm not totally sold on this one. Any news on the formats? Hopefully it'll come to PSN or XBLA as I'd like to try a demo of it, certainly. I don't know what it is that's putting me off, I usually love pretty much all shmups. Definitely intere...

Re: Nintendo Wii U - Thursday, 3pm GMT. Details!
I predict this will be one of the biggest disasters in gaming history. Who are they aiming the console at? They've already completely alienated the 'hardcore' gamer with the Wii. I can count the amount of essential releases on that system on two hands, and even then I barely played them because of t...

Re: PlayStation Vita
I had a quick play in the shop and really found the new analogue sticks barely any more usable than the old nubbin on the PSP. Over priced, over sized, and absolutely disgracefully priced memory cards. How the hell Sony can get away with charging the price they do for flash memory is obscene. I'd be...

Sounds great, cheers for the heads up.
Can anyone recommend any other games related documentaries? (Other than The King Of Kong which was brilliant).

Re: Your first gaming memories
Repton was awesome! We had the editor on our computers and could design our own sprites. I rember making one during Mexico '86 where all the rocks were footballs lol. There were loads of cool games at school on those old BBC's. I remember some pirate text based game, and yeah I remember Granny's Gar...

Re: Your first gaming memories
Yeah that's a good point about arcades. When we were little you /had/ to go to the arcade to get real mind blowing graphics, bass pumping surround sound and quality sticks / wheels. Nowadays the arcades are behind the home consoles in terms of technology if anything. Kids today just don't appreciate...

Your first gaming memories
As I suspect most the people on this forum have, I've been gaming my whole life. My first ever memory of playing a video game was on a ferry from England over to Ireland when I was about 3. Must have been '81-'82. We were going over to visit family, and I distinctly remember my dad holding me up to ...

Re: The "Man-Cave" / "Lady-Cave" Illustrated
I used to have a really nice set up. About a dozen consoles plus an Amiga all hidden wires and ready to play, wall to wall shelves of games ranging from the classics to the rare. Had to sell most of it over the space of a particularly hard year a while back. I'll see if I can find some old pics. It ...

Re: Games completed 2012
The last boss wasn't too difficult but the re-generating Necromorph was a bastard! I wasted loads of ammo trying to kill it lol. It was funny, when I started the game I was properly jumping and tense, but by the end chapters you get kind of used to it and all your guns are all bad-ass by then you ne...

Re: Games completed 2012
Just finished Dead Space 2. Apart from a bit of a crummy ending the game was awesome! Way way better than the first game, which I just found boring. Think I'm going to replay Red Dead Redemption next.

Is Halo 4 confirmed 360 or it is going to be next-gen launch do we think?
