Re: Games Completed 2023
Kirby’s Dreamland Deluxe It was ok, probably one of the weaker Nintendo exclusives I’ve played in recent times but it was fun enough. The lack of challenge didn’t bother me so much, it was more the lack of invention and creativity we’ve had from other Nintendo games. It just felt like a very by the ...

Re: Games Completed 2023
The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past Two games in one day! It’s a record for me. I’ve finally finished A Link to the Past! I have to say I didn’t like this game for the most part. I liked the dungeons but even they were obtuse at times with the puzzles and lack of signposting which is what my main...

Re: Games Completed 2023
Hi Fi Rush. Really enjoyed this, if you don’t know what it is a rhythm action game mixed with third person combat and mixed with a Saturday morning cartoon. I eventually grew tired of the story but the real star of the show here anyway is the combat and music which mixes together really well and is ...

I get the impression that you still prefer Breaking bad then? For me it’s a tie as even though I think BB is more consistent, I think BCS has more standout episodes. Both shows are my favourites of all time though.

Re: Recommendations for a new TV?
I’m not sure on the details but I think QLEDs aren’t supposed to be as good, that’s purely based on them being cheaper than OLEDs though

Re: Books completed (and general book talk)
4. Batman Year One (thanks Alex79UK) 7/10 7/10!! Haha, it's one of the all time greats! Seriously though, do you think you'll read any more Batman? If you're interested, I'd start with Court Of The Owls by Scott Snyder, then go from there. To be honest no, I don’t know what it is but I just d...

I normally manage at least 1 to 2 a monthRetroClarence wrote: ↑February 3rd, 2023, 3:54 pm How many games per year do you guys usually finish? I finished 10 games in January which I reckon was a record for me. They were mainly short games or games I had started at the end of last year.

I didn’t know but remember Sean from tcgs talking about it, the high difficulty put me off. Have you played Tunic as even though I haven’t played it, I always thought it looked very similar to DD.

Re: 573: Death's Door
I initially started this on Xbox Gamepass but after an hour or so lost interest as it's really the sort of game I prefer to play in handheld, so when I saw it at half price on the Switch over Christmas I instantly snapped it up. And I'm glad I did, because it's a cracker. Looks great, some nice mus...

Re: My 5 favourite and 1 least favourite games I've finished this year
I am still playing through sparks of hope and norco which could potentially make my top 5 but otherwise: 1. Metroid Dread 2. Evil West 3. Grid Legends 4. God of War 2018 5. Kirby and the Forgotten Land Least favourite: Steamworld Quest Love Heist and Dig, but this didn’t click with me and I thought ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Started sparks of hope and it’s really good fun. I think I prefer a grid system in there type of games even though I can’t really explain why. It has some nice additions like the Sparks and I like how all characters level up at the same rate even if you don’t use them. I can’t remember if that was t...

Re: Videogame News
Apparently it is something to do with the controllers in this new one being totally different so I guess devs could update their games for PSVR2 and provide them to players for free but I don’t know how much time and money that would take them.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Had something of a series of 'RPG' fails recently unfortunately... Paper Mario & The Origami King - So it's kind of an RPG but also not really. Despite the mixed reception it got at release I decided to finally give this a go. For maybe 8-10 hours I was having an absolute blast. The game is jus...

See How They Run
Just a really good whodunnit film. Not quite Knives Out levels but still good fun and family friendly, some good laughs in there too. 3.5/5

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Will be interested to hear what you think as I really didn’t like it. Probably my least favourite film I’ve seen this year but I’d still recommend people watch it in case you one of the many who really love it.
