Re: All things Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku)

It makes me happy that it seems Yakuza is picking up at least a little more popularity in the West. Absolutely hyped for 6, even though I'm still yet to finish 5! I just rarely turn my PS3 on anymore (and when I do, it's specifically to play Yakuza 5, at this point).

Re: Virginia

I'm interested, mostly because I've seen a lot of comparisons to Twin Peaks. This always scares me, though, because that's usually just an easy reference for "mystery that has weird characters."

Re: Games you nearly completed that bug you because you know you likely never will

Unfortunately, it's been so long that I barely remember any of the story other than the final boss was your dad? I think?

I should give that another go on Vita, I think.

Re: Games you nearly completed that bug you because you know you likely never will

The first one that pops in my mind is the final boss in Final Fantasy X. I remember getting to him when I first played it on PS2, and, finding him almost impossible to beat. Most recently, I traded in Deus Ex Mankind Divided after a few hours with it. It bugs me, not because it was hard or anything,...

Re: Hardware Lineup?

As far as using regularly, aside from my PC:

XB1/PS4/PS3/360 and Wii U are all plugged into my TV, and, currently, I probably use them in that order. Vita is my most used handheld, but, I still keep my 3DS charged up.

Still have my old NES, SNES, Genesis, and Sega CD boxed up in my closet.

Crap! It might be a preview thing. I thought it rolled out to everyone, though. Should be in the community section.

Re: Cane and Rinse Club on Xbox One and PS4

Cool, this sounds like a community I'd like to be a part of. How does one join this said establishment ? On Xbox One, go to clubs from the home screen and just search Cane and Rinse. Then, request invite (or allowance or something, can't remember the right phrase). Can't remember how to do it on PS...

Cane and Rinse Club on Xbox One and PS4

Hi all, In case anyone was curious, there are community clubs for both platforms up and available to join. I know many know about the PS4 community club, but, just wanted to spread awareness of the Xbox One club, as, last I checked, it only has 3 members in there. Especially with the silly season ri...

Believe Darren's also finished QB. It was one of the deciding factors for my XB1 purchase!

Re: Titanfall and Titanfall 2

So how did we all feel about it? I literally wasn't able to ever finish a match. Game always timed out before the end. Otherwise, I wasn't really feeling it. Maps were way too open, and, I never even piloted a Titan. Like, how do you make Titans hard to get in a game called TITANFALL!?

Re: Xbox One

Been putting a bit more time in with my XBO for various reasons, and, whatever the latest update was has definitely sped up the way I use the system. I'm thinking it needs a bit more love in my household, so, I picked up DOOM for it even though I rented/completed it before on PS4. Might start using ...

Re: No Man's Sky

It makes me really sad that the game has so many technical issues. I jinxed myself earlier when I said I hadn't run into any issues because it's been crashing here and there ever since.

Regardless, I still can't stop playing it. I'm finding it to be a pretty special experience as a whole.

Re: No Man's Sky

I'm so glad I haven't run into any technical issues yet. I can't imagine how crushing that would be to the immersion. Considering I kicked this thread off thinking "not sure if I should get it" I thought I'd quickly chime in saying I'm finding the game to be an utterly captivating experien...

Re: All things Metroid

With Nintendo issuing the C+D, surely that means we're getting a proper Metroid soon.

Right?

Re: No Man's Sky

I caved and pre-ordered yesterday. Gotta say all the reports of the game constantly crashing are giving me worry. I suppose a game like this is borderline impossible to do a complete QA test on, though.

Re: No Man's Sky

I do think it's going to disappoint a lot of people and will likely spawn a thousand disingenuous memes, simply because it doesn't achieve goals which are outside of its remit, but I am absolutely psyched for what it does look to offer. If only the rest of the internet had this balanced way of thin...

Re: No Man's Sky

I always appreciated the look and style of Joe Danger more than I did actually playing it. Not that there was anything in there to actively dislike, but, it just wasn't clicking with me for some reason. Could certainly recognize the talent, though.

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Just finished OlliOlli again on the 3ds this time. Both it and OlliOlli 2 - Welcome to Olliwood (groan) have been a perfect gaming accoutrement for the past year for me and even if you can't see a show out of them I heartily recommend them as a game. I don't however recommend playing it on the 3ds ...

No Man's Sky

Surprisingly, I wasn't able to find a thread on this one yet (unless I'm just bad at searching). Anyone on here part of the absurd hype train? I honestly don't know if I'm picking it up yet, or not. I love almost everything about how it both looks and sounds (the soundtrack is now up on Spotify and ...
