Re: Our next podcast recording (24.8.19) - 384: SUPERHOT

I just finished playing Super Hot on Switch. I played it completely in handheld mode, because we are moving, and I’m in a gamer free house. I’ve got some intermittent joy con drift issues happening, which aren’t great for this game, but managed anyways. I’d never played Super Hot before, so I can’t ...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**

Is this pandering? Trolling? Neither? You decide Cane and Rinse UK. 94C-NQV-KYF An uptube downtube drama PS: Am I right that when you download the level and play it it does not pass the feedback onto the player? I downloaded a bunch of community levels to play offline, but then in courseworld it loo...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**

Here's the best thing I can say about the C and R levels. I've got maybe a dozen Nintendo made levels in the story mode to mop up, and I never got to any of them last night because I got wrapped up playing our community ones. Keep them coming team C and R.

Back to more consistent internet and loving the chance to play everybody's levels. Here's my first attempt. Just realized Mexico apparently had me feeling those Dia De Los Muertos vibes. 8QD-6HP-N7G

I hope they either include this, or at least a playlist system. How cool would it be to ostensibly have a Cane and Rinse community made Mario game.

Re: 378: INSIDE

I started Inside with all the best intentions. It was a short game, with an art style I liked,so I swore that even when stuck on a puzzle, there was no need to cut corners. Sure my string-bean, boy-child avatar got unceremoniously strangled by thugs early on, but that was just because I didn’t know ...

Re: Our next Final Fantasy podcast recording (13.4.19) - 365: Final Fantasy IX

Back in the year 2000 when princesses wanted kidnapping and monkey-tailed space homunculi wore cuffs but no sleeves, Final Fantasy IX had to be quite a game. Those lush backgrounds, that universe of music, those “the future is now” CGI cutscenes, must have made it seem like Square Enix bent time and...

Re: Everybody's favorite GBA titles

Thanks for all the great advice guys, especially you Suits, for the hardware deep dive. Always feel lucky that I found such a warm and helpful community. Can’t wait to start messing around with these gems. Another question Has anyone played the DS Golden Sun game? I’d never heard of the franchise un...

Everybody's favorite GBA titles

I've never played a GBA game, but Switch has me loving portable systems and it sounds like I missed out on some true classics. A couple questions I figured forum members could help me out on. GBA SP or DS Lite? I imagine just because it's newer and I love my New 2DS the DS Lite is the way to go, but...

Re: 360: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The team making The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild must have been familiar with that old Picasso line that goes something like, “Good artists copy. Great artists steal,” because this title rifled through gaming’s historically great offerings with all the zeal of a Yiga clansman scouring Donkey ...

Re: 358: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, at least on Switch, demonstrates the famous Nintendo polish as well as almost any other title. It’s as if the stout citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom took off their kerchiefs and buffed everything from the button clasp on Toad’s backpack to the knot atop Dragadon’s head...

Going try to keep it tight and right on the correspondence Leon, but it all sounds so nice when you read it I can't make any promises. Love this list. I realize this is usually just a list, but I want to give a little context. Re: 347: The Last Guardian

In the universe of the Last Guardian I never knew a lot of things. I never knew if the reason the boy felt so ropy to control was to express his youthful awkwardness, or was merely meant to challenge the player. I never knew why the amorphous blob with a penchant for M.C. Escher architecture wanted ...

I came to Horizon Zero Dawn in the midst of a 10 month long binge of gaming sparked by a gumbo of circumstances involving Super Mario Galaxy and the Nintendo Switch my wife kindly gave me as a Christmas gift. Leading up to the plumbers space opera I hadn’t played a video game in more than two decade...
