Re: Eternal Sunshine of the Gaming Mind

Great question.
Only one leaps to mind for me at this point, though: BioShock.

Re: Retro City Rampage

I assume they've slotted in more appropriate references depending upon which platform you're playing on. As you say, it would be odd otherwise.

If someone such as yourself, Magic Joe, was willing to sort of 'hold the keys' to the Steam group, I'm sure that would be agreeable to all parties.

Good game; probably in my top 25 or so of 2012 - and as people have commented, excellent toons.

Whereas I second Karl's opinion; A good game that lacks the brilliance and astounding atmosphere of the first. I wasn't as crazy about Minerva's Den as some either, but it was certainly decent.

Actually I thought the demo was great fun. But it was Darren's reports if the game further in that have put me off it. Will grab it in a 400 MSP sale at some point.

Quite a few, considering your BF3 commitment. Well played!
A few there I need to get to myself.

Thanks mik, sadly your passionate review of the game wasn't in time for the podcast.
A definite imbalance between those who posted here and the mostly negative Three Word Reviewers (which makes obvious sense of course)!

Re: Holy Grails

My Holy Grails would be dedicated arcade cabs I guess, that I could never own for reasons of cost or space. FWIW I've owned two copies of PDS. One I bought on PAL launch day for £40 and played it to completion (it was absolutely outstanding, and deserved of the hype) before later selling it for arou...

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast

Ha, I wouldn't go that far! It's a really memorable game, and there's lots to enjoy but the overwhelming love for the game from some quarters seems to wilfully ignore the many mechanical shortcomings. Anyway, an interesting show, no doubt.

You speak both truth and sense Scrustle. I believe that fanboyism is borne almost entirely of insecurity, so until humans aren't profoundly insecure beings I think we'll have to continue to suffer their tedium and ignorance, sadly. They can be incredibly frustrating, but remind yourself that you're ...

Seems pretty recent, just had StarCraft II.
Wonderful stuff, getting a little emotional here.

Based on the footage being shown I think it's probably 2010.
