Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
I did it! I beat the bosses at the end of the frigid outskirts! I even shared the video online of my triumph. https://youtu.be/Y_abMPzR7cs I was so happy that I went for a wander thinking the place was a bit less threatening and promptly died. Problem is my souls are in the middle of nowhere now and...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
I genuinely think dark souls 2 may be the best game I’ve ever played. I think the instant bonfire warping and disappearing enemies (after 12 kills) contributes to that. I’m pretty rubbish at the game but eventually through summoning or perseverance I get there. Seeing a barren old environment which ...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
So I’ve almost beaten all the bosses in dark souls 2 - weirdly I’m finding incredible success after going to the gym (a rare and unusual event!). I beat Fume knight, ancient dragon, vendrick and blue smelter demon in one sitting! It turns out exercise is good for me and dark souls! Only have the fri...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
Bloodborne, by a mile. It's as good as the original Dark Souls. The blizzard and the boss in the Ivory King DLC are the worst. By the time I get to the boss when I have made it I’m nearly out of Estus, my NPC summons are nearly dead and the boss takes 3/4 of my health off with every hit. It’s a rec...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
Another hurrah! Finished the ivory king DLC (except for the boss after the frigid wastes which I’ll leave to last)! Onto the final piece of DLC then a endgame mop up of the optional bosses I’ve left alone. Torn between bloodborne or dark souls 3 next. I sort of feel I’m in the mood for more dark sou...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
So I’ve managed to finish the sunken king and have the crown! Hurrah!
I’m onto the Ivory king as I’ve heard the fume knight is impossible. Delving into lots of jolly co-operation so happy to help anyone with DLC even if im a bit rubbish.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Then I started Evil Within 2 and... I really like this one. Feels a lot more polished than the first, and I'm actually itching to play more. Oh I downloaded that this week as well but haven't started it yet. I remember enjoying some of the first one but just got bored with it, felt far too long, an...

Re: Games Completed 2021
The finale is definitely worth the journey.
I wish I had watched that video when I played it. Trico refused to do anything I wanted until I realised less is more. I was too impatient and spent most of the beginning of the game shouting at them and frustrated when nothing happened.

Re: Games Completed 2021
#34 - The Last Guardian. I am maybe halfway through, and I am done. I give up. The controls are complete and utter dogshit. This game is UNplayable and I cannot continue to torture myself with this utter garbage anymore. Horrible. That’s a shame as the game really grew on me as it progressed and I ...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
So I finished the game and have dived into the DLC soon discovering that everything (at least in Sunken king) is resistant to hex spells. I’ve started increasing my strength but it’s 35000 souls to upgrade anything right now so struggling a little. Managed to brute force my way to the first? boss b...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I think in a world where the wiiU exists with a functional virtual console aside from the obvious advantage of portability the price doesn’t seem to be warranted. Obviously for anyone who doesn’t own a WiiU it’s more attractive but not by much.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion
Hey Kurt, That’s good news that you’re chatting a lot. You’re both on the app to date someone so I suppose if she’s interested she wouldn’t be engaging with you in the first place so I’d say you should just go for it. I met my wife via a dating website and I was on a couple of them a few years back ...

This is insane. Also Ben I find watching your videos better than actually playing Metroid to be honest.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion
I’m already sold on the idea! Offering my suggestions but I’d recommend save the green planet as well as looking forward to the inevitable a bittersweet life episode. Fun fact but I watched Save the Green Planet at a video BANG in London which turned out to be a tiny room filled with pillows and a ...

The first episode of my new podcast K-BOTAK is now available to listen to on most podcast apps. I have started this twice weekly show to talk about the wealth of incredible films and TV dramas that come from South Korea, which I have been head over heels with this year and has revitalised my love o...

Re: Dark Souls I, II and III
I agree with Alex that’s a great podcast as well as Bonfireside Chat. I played along while listening to both of those podcasts. It’s helpful to hear not only that you share similar frustrations as the hosts but sometimes it prompts you to go back to find an item or hidden area you missed.
