Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Isn't it funny how you can get back into games? Earlier this year I put about 40 hours into Tears of the Kingdom and was a little cool on it. I was enjoying it to some extent but was having a few problems with it too so that when the next game came along I was interested in I went to play that inste...

Re: Games Completed 2023
Pikmin 4 I’m glad I played it, I found it very moreish as it has a nice gameplay loop but I think I’ve had my fill with it after 17 hours. I’m not really tempted to go back to the previous games and not even sure I’d play another, but it’s certainly unique as I would say it’s quite different to eve...

Re: Games Completed 2023
Super Mario RPG I was quite enjoying this at first but grew less fond of it the further I got into the game. It's full of charm and I loved the new art style but by the end I just felt like I was on autopilot in the battles, other than in the bosses which require some more thought. I have had a sim...

2025 can't come soon enough. I think this is their best first trailer after GTA IV

There's Dune 2 I'm looking forward to, Ferrari, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 2, the New Joker, 2 Win and if it's out next year, the Brad Pitt F1 film.

Re: Videogames to look forward to in 2024
For me it's GTA VI should it come out next year, but other than that I'm actually really excited for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league. I thought the latest deep dive trailer was really good and a friend of mine working at Rocksteady has relieved any fears I had regarding whether it wouldn't ha...

Re: Videogame Deals
I didn't realise CD Keys did Switch games but just picked up the Crysis Trilogy for £12, considering it's £45 or something on the eShop it's a decent saving. If you can avoid the temptations of the deals I'd avoid CD Keys in the future, they get some of their keys via less than ideal sources which ...

The Marvels
Thought this was ok, the 3 main characters had a great dynamic and I liked all the stuff with the cats. The villain was naff though and it was a bit too heavy on CGI space fights for me. 2.5/5

Re: Games Completed 2023
I've wondered how Insomniac can keep getting games out so quickly in this time where every other developer is taking at least 4 years to get an AAA game out. They're basically keeping Sony's first party releases afloat at the moment when it comes to single player games with the only announced one be...

Put about 4 hours into Super Mario RPG and have been enjoying it a lot more than I expected. The closest thing to a JRPG I have played is the Pokemon games and Yakuza: Like a dragon. I heard that Super Mario RPG was a lighter take on the genre and a friend of mine claims the original is his favouri...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Next up on my David Fincher list was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I really enjoyed this, a really good example of one of those films that follows the whole life of a person but Benjamin has the unique aspect to him that he ages in reverse. It tells a good...

Re: All things Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku)
You've convinced me, I'll stick with 4 and play 5 before 6. I think I'll likely mainline the stories though as, seemingly unlike most other people, I must admit, I'm not really a huge fan of a lot of the side stories. Oh wow, yeah that is quite the opinion! :D Have any of them stood out? Like in Ze...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Unfortunately I think I'm done with Alan Wake 2. The atmosphere is great and story intriguing, but I'm not enjoying the combat at all and the last straw yesterday was a puzzle in the Coffee park gift shop that I just couldn't figure out. I had a word with myself and asked if I was actually enjoying...

Re: All things Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku)
My question would be if you are happy to skip 4 and 5, why aren't you skipping 6 as well and just playing the new ones as and when they get released?
