Re: Battlefield 3

Do you need to unlock the crossbow?. Yeah, just win three rounds of Scavenger. Getting the different types of bolts for it requires a little more effort, although they can be achieved via any game mode. Scan bolt - Get 20 spot assists - Designate 10 vehicles - Get 1 designated assist Balanced Bolt ...

Heh, you mean this? _sy9kloFI5o Worst kind of stupid rawk bullshit - but I'm guessing that they think everyone who plays shooters listens to this kinda shite. Me...I usually have this piece of music rolling around my head whilst I'm playing an FPS! :D http://caneandrinse.com/random_audio/magic_round...

Re: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

I have to add that the book that accompanies the DS version and comes with the PS3 Wizard Edition really is a piece of art. Whether it's worth the additional £30/40 is another matter though, since it's clearly not essential to play the game. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o52/Krylon70/c756c8d0.j...

Re: Battlefield 3 (PS3)

Gonna be hitting these new maps once again tonight if any of you are interested, mostly Conquest but will need to play some Scavenger in order to get the Xbow unlocked. I'll be around after 9pm if anyone is keen.

Re: Battlefield 3

I've seen the new trailer for those maps and they look brilliant. I'm over excited about the crossbow has anyone used it yet?. Roll on next week! Yeah, I got hold of it a couple of times yesterday - once when I prized it from the cold, dead fingers of one of the opposing force and another when I gr...

Re: Battlefield 3

After about four hours on these new maps last night, I have to say that these may well be some of the best maps for BF3 so far (still four more to come). Some great level design, packed with loads of environmental detail in these earthquake ravaged urban areas and as is so often the case with new ma...

Re: Battlefield 3

I'm also getting a bit of trouble with my loadout, when I choose faction specific weapons I always get lumbered with a random unmodified weapon if I join a game and get pre-allocated to the other faction, any hints on how to stop this besides selecting a non-faction specific weapon for a class? The...

Re: Battlefield 3

Well, this is my evening sorted then! :D vVlnPYsmwCk More juicy, destructive awesomeness from those good folk over at DICE. Although a word to the wise - don't get in any chopper on these new maps unless you know the pilot can fly well - or it's gonna end in tears and a fiery death judging from the ...

Re: Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight 2012

You've only played probably Schafer and crew's worst game though. Check out Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, Iron Brigade, Stacking, Costume Quest... all excellent! That's definitely the case in regards to its gameplay, but the dialogue, voice acting and characters of Brutal Legend are still some of my ...

Re: Rocksteady's Batman games

Did anyone buy the Catwoman DLC? It came bundled with my copy of the game. I have to say, if I HAD paid £7.99 for it (as it was on the PS store) I'd have been mighty pissed off. I didn't really enjoy playing as the Cat but even so, it was barely an hour of content. I believe it was merely designed ...

Re: Rocksteady's Batman games

Loved the first game. Gave up on "City" fairly quickly. "City" lost a lot of what made the first game appealing to me: - the environments lack the claustrophobic and gothic atmosphere of the Asylum; - the amount of combat is significantly increased at the expense of the strategy...

Re: Rocksteady's Batman games

Too many Riddler Trophies... You say this but for me I've found them far quicker than the ones in Asylum . There's been little mention of Catwoman so far, which was another reason I liked the sequel, especially after you've completed the game and have the ability to switch between the two character...
