Re: Mental Health
Hmm... I've already have had negative comments from a family member about being open and have been told that in discussing or encouraging people to understand all this just makes me look "mental" to other people. Bit of a knock to my self-esteem. That's abysmal. Exactly the kind of thing ...

Re: Videogame Deals
I've posted some of these before, but maybe some people got a gaming PC over Christmas and didn't get that EA Humble Bundle last year

Medal of Honor (might have been redeemed, but I don't think so!)

Re: Grim Fandango
Ahh, the fond memories of using everything with everything to get that tiny breakthrough! I couldn't imagine doing it now, but I loved adventure games when I was younger and must have spent the majority of time on them stuck! I had a science teacher who would always offer up a tip though, he was coo...

I haven't played it, but I just looked up some footage. The visuals look amazing! (Not very helpful, but had to comment on that animation )

Re: Windows 10 gaming stuff
My concern is that it will be half arsed on the PC end of things in the same way that GFWL was. I also don't want yet another client I have to download and play games through, as I suspect they will try and sell PC games through a Store App on Windows 10? Would prefer for cross platform stuff to sta...

Re: Oculus Rift
They are still billed as dev kits at the moment, so might be worth holding on until a proper consumer supported version comes out.
I can't wait to get one and try it out with some racing games and flight sims!

Re: All things Metal Gear (Solid)
Nice! You'll whip through Twin Snakes at a pretty decent pace having played 2 recently I would imagine.
You've got me thinking about going back to the originals now, as I didn't do that when I played the HD collection.

Re: Videogame podcast recommendations
Have you checked out Crate and Crowbar? It is pretty much the people who used to do the PC Gamer UK podcast, but they just get together and have a drink and chat about PC games. But seeing as most stuff is multiplatform these days, don't let that put you off :) Tom Francis (who made Gunpoint) is oft...

Re: All things Metal Gear (Solid)
Re: playing through Twin Snakes, I definitely recommend that. Have you played it before? The atmosphere is slightly different to the PSOne version, as the environments are a bit 'cleaner' due to the MGS2 engine, but I found it a really nice way to go back and play through a favourite. (I played Twin...

Re: All things Metal Gear (Solid)
I was a student at the time it came out and my friend had a PS2 that he kindly shared with the house (mainly for high stakes Pro Evo ;)). MGS2 was one of the few things at that time that motivated me to get up early so I could play through it in peace and quiet! Mind boggling is definitely the right...

Thanks for playing my pick
Another excellent episode. I often work with film / game soundtracks on so this is a great for discovering new stuff.

Re: All things Metal Gear (Solid)
http://www.deltaheadtranslation.com/MGS2/DOTM_TOC.htm Interesting, I'll definitely give that a look. I picked up the PC version of Ground Zeroes in the Steam sale and did my first run through. I used my 360 pad and it played really well. A few times it really gave that feeling of avoiding detection...
