Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I think a lot of people liked Judgement best. I really enjoyed it, it's probably my second favourite after Yakuza Kiwami 2. Still need to get round to playing the second Judgement game.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Xeno Crisis is a fantastic top down twin stick shooter, developed for the Sega Megadrive (and that's the version we have here) which uses the face buttons to shoot. You might think it would be a bit fiddly but you soon get the hang of it. It's a brilliant little arcade shooter. Tough, too. I only r...

Re: Really great 'retro' collections
Yeah I'm interested in that Atari collection just for the sheer scale of it, even if half the games are really not worth playing these games (subjective, I know). I'm most looking forward to the upcoming Jeff Minter collection, that's going to be amazing.

Re: Formula One
I'm about halfway through season six of Drive To Survive and enjoying it as much as ever. Despite not having any real interest in the sport, it's a fascinating show. One thing that puzzles me. Hamilton was world champion for 8 years, and then Max V comes along and blows him out the water. How does t...

Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection: https://www.strictlylimitedgames.com/en-gb/collections/wonder-boy-anniversary-collection/products/wonder-boy-anniversary-collection-ps4 Yeah had my eye on this for Switch for a while. Didn't they release it shortly after another collection which was far more infer...

Re: Games Completed 2024
Dead Island 2 This one surprised me. I had no interest in the first game and only gave this a go as it was on Game Pass. I ended up playing the whole thing co-op with a few friends and had a great time. Did you play the first Dying Light game? Wondered how this compares to that. I enjoyed Dying Lig...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I got a new Evercade cartridge in the post this morning, the Tanglewood/Xeno Crisis double pack. So instead of writing a risk assessment for court like I'm supposed to be doing I obviously had a little go... Xeno Crisis is a fantastic top down twin stick shooter, developed for the Sega Megadrive (an...

Xenoblade Chronicles - on my third attempt to play this. I played around 15/20 hours on the Wii original and the same again on the Switch remaster last year. Just came back to my save and decided to start again. I really want to like this game but I just find it so confusing and complicated. It thr...

Re: 635: Yie Ar Kung-Fu
As a young child, before we had a computer of our own in the house, I'd eagerly lap up any gaming action I could get round friends houses. Yie Ar Kung-Fu was possibly the single game that made me badger and hound my parents in to buying us a gaming machine. I remember being so excited playing it at ...

Re: 622: Elden Ring
I'll preface this by saying I loved Elden Ring. It was the first game I bought day one and the first game I bought full price in several years. I have probably played about 100 hours of it and feel like I am still ages away from the end. And herein lies my only criticism of the game. I think it suff...

Re: Bruce Lee
Didn't really have enough to say to include on the pod, but my only memory of this game is a vague recollection of playing it at my cousin's house as a kid. My memories are more around the house, actually. They lived in this big country house that seemed like a mansion to us with seven bedrooms, mas...

Really great 'retro' collections
We all love video games, that's why we're here. And most of us remember fondly the games we played when we were younger, or are excited to play games from the past we might not have done before, and that's why retro collections are such big business. I have loads of these collections from the Sega M...

I hate to say something as cliche as Pentiment is one of the best games I've played in the past five years and you absolutely should all buy it if you haven't played it on Xbox, but Pentiment is one of the best games I've played in the past five years and if you absolutely should all buy it if you ...
