I was lucky enough to be at Reading 1992 when he played before Nirvana. The new album's been a permanent fixture on my iPod since it was released. Fantastic. Unusual for someone of his years to consistently be creating such quality, at such a rate, whether as himself or Grinderman.

I just splashed out on some ZX Spectrum retrospectives. Haven't downloaded them yet - I'm in Milan and can't be bothered hooking up my Kindle to the hotel wireless - but they all very cheap and well reviewed, if a little on the short side. I had a great glitch on PS3 - so great it seemed almost intentional! I fell off the pirate ship as I was making my escape. Lara got "snagged" half way down the ship. Nothing more happened, so I tried to free her with the controller and off she went, floating around the ship under a reasona...
