The 'AA' Thread: Amiibo Anonymous

Post by dezm0nd »

We don't judge here. We're just here to help*

Anyone else got any Amiibo figures? I'm struggling to see their purpose just yet but that hasn't stopped me from buying almost every single one...!

I tried to resist. I got 3 for Christmas. The rest is self explanatory.
*Help find them all

I bought the Princess Zelda one.

I still have no idea why.

(She's much better than I am at Smash already though)

It took roughly 2 hours for my Peach amiibo to reach sentience and begin stomping me. I'm not quite sure how.

Hello, I'm Andy Kurosaki, and I'm an amiibo-holic.
I don't own Smash Bros. Don't plan on buying it any time soon. Yet I'm buying loads of these
I love action figures. And at £10 each, these look seriously nice.
I started with Mario and Samus.Once they arrived, and I liked the quality of them, I got Link too. This morning, I've ordered 4 on Amazon. Not one, not two, but bloody 4. Donkey and Diddy Kong. Then Pikachu. And seeing Fox drop from £15 to £10, I ordered him too.

I draw the line at buying ones I'm not that familiar with though, such as Marth and Villager. For now, I think I'm done. But I already like the look of Bowser and Mega Man...

Probably like most of us obsessed with the idea of collecting these pieces of plastic, I am in need of Marth and Little Mac.

If anyone see's them... let me know! I don't want to pay any more than the RRP. I'm not that obsessed (yet)

Yeah I see those two going for silly money online. Marth on amazon is £15, but postage is £9. Fuck off. Little Mac is £30+.Again, fuck off.

Really? That sucks. I'm guessing him and Marth are quite rare then.

Apparently Marth can be found in-stores easier than Little Mac but yeah, both seem to be the tough ones to get hold of more than others.

Awesome, sufferers unite! Think at the moment the only ones I want are Yoshi and Captain Falcon. Glad I got Fox for £10 on Amazon now, he's at least £17 again.

Picked up and got delivered my order of Amiibo's today.

I had already bought Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Kirby before Christmas. I received Fox, Donkey Kong and Samus on Xmas day and the rest are todays "Sod it, let's just buy them all" on Boxing day.

There's a Yoshi in the Argos here, if you cant get hold of and want it, let me know!

Wow, that's a bloody nice display that. Very much impressed mate. Yoshi is only £10 on amazon, so it's not that I can't get him. Just think I've spent enough for now, haha

Little Mac has seen a reprint in America so here's hoping it brings the prices down overall. Good to see them getting replenished into stores again.

For the next run I definitely want Bowser and Mega Man. Bowser especially looks awesome.
Though now Princess Zelda is looking tempting.
Bet anyone that pays £35+ for Little Mac will feel a right twat if the reprint makes him cheaper. Will grab one myself if that's the case...

Is there anywhere other than game in which you can pre-order these bastards? It's like real life pokemon apart from I'm buying to have them all, not adventuring.

A week or so ago you could pre-order on Amazon. Definitely can't now though. I've looked
