You're in the right place
So we don't need to tell you guys how great we are ( ) but there's a bit of a buzz around these parts this morning as a Vice.com article naming us as one of the five "essential" gaming podcasts in the English speaking world has appeared:
http://caneandrinse.com/cane-and-rinse- ... -vice-com/
http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/these-ar ... ingtwitter
Our thanks again to Jagger Gravning and vice.com for the welcome publicity.

Re: You're in the right place
I am really happy to see you guys getting acknowledged and recognised for what I consider the definitive "game club" esq podcast. Especially considering the hard work you all clearly put into it.

Thanks arry!
Re: You're in the right place
It wouldn't of happened without Leon, Jay and Tony leading the charge and of course the listeners spreading the word is probably how Vice and Jagger Gravning heard of us.
I'm super proud to be a part of it. (and more impressed that I haven't been chucked off it! )
Well done everyone!

Re: You're in the right place
That's great news guys - really pleased for the whole C&R team!
The quality and consistency of the podcast is fantastic and whatever the title being covered you just know you're guaranteed an interesting couple of hours in the company of passionate and informed gamers, something which is pretty rare out there in sensationalist internetland, particularly in the gaming space.
It's also clear, as arry said, the amount of time and effort you put in to producing the show, looking after this website and forum, and producing all the other content that goes with it. As someone who has enjoyed all of the above for a long time now, I hope you know just how much it's sincerely appreciated.
You do a great job for us, and long may it continue!

Re: You're in the right place
This was cool!
I've often dipped into Vice's websites before now since they have had some interesting articles about the porn industry in the past.
Hmmm, maybe we should start up another podcast to add to the current roster - Cane and Rinse presents Pixels & Porn - and corner an as yet untapped niche?

Brilliant news, well done everyone! I've listened / do listen to dozens of gaming podcasts, and whilst I enjoy a lot of them no other podcast even comes close for the level of research, knowledge, dedication and pure passion and enthusiasm for gaming that comes across when I listen to you guys. Not only has the Cane and Rinse podcast led me to discover games I'd never have played otherwise, but it's responsible for creating the friendliest, most welcoming forum community I've ever been a part of. Sincerely, well done. A very well deserved nod of recognition there.

Thanks chaps <3
Re: You're in the right place
Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition! It's always good to see C&R getting out there. A good article too with some other podcasts to check out, as if I didn't have too many to listen to already. I'm actually already subscribed to 8-4 Play, and I can recommend them too. There was also a bit of a sting at the end with the mention of Chet and Jon's. Still sad about them throwing in the towel.
On Vice, I think they're a pretty interesting outlet. People tend to have a go at then on the Internet, and while some of their articles to seem to be a little inflamatory, I've found the vast majority of their stuff that I've seen to be a really interesting peek in to a strange and exotic part of human existence. I like their style, although I only really go looking at their stuff once every now and then. Their documentaries on various aspects of Japanese culture are particularly intriguing.
