I want it to be good. Really really good. The source material is so strong that surely they can’t go wrong. I don’t think I’ll play it any time soon so by then I’ll know if it’s a stinker or not.

So calling it a night and even though I have been retreading the demo it is superb.

Slight niggle is the soundtrack. Can't decide wether to stick with the minimalistic new one or the classic. I recorded a quick clip for comparison here:

I like the minimalist music, it eludes to the original soundtrack just enough and then tapers off. As soon as that DLC becomes available i will be replaying it with the original music just to hear it again.

Overall, my time spent with it so far has been great. I haven't played 2 since the gamecube port and even then i havent really played it properly since the ps1 days but the way they have remade it really has me nostalgic for the whole location. It's so dark, it's so scary and even though the zombies are a little too spongey I've not found it annoyingly so. The reintroduction of the defensive weapons is a huge plus for me and despite being on the edge of my seat, I've found it to be a joy to play.

I hope this does well for capcom, it deserves to. Also it looks incredible on the X in 4k.

I don't want any spoilers so I didn't read any of the above posts - but get this. My local Wal-Mart not only didn't have my copy of RE2 (it ships separately and I have to wait until my specific package comes in???????), but they only had 6 copies on PS4 and 4 copies on XBone. No idea if this is going to be the norm or if they maybe get their main shipments later in the day, but holy Hannah Montana! I'm hoping this isn't another AAA publisher grossly underestimating demand!

Man, I've got a little Christmas money left. So tempted to grab on the way home, rinse over the weekend and trade back for a top price on Monday...

It has literally made you scared of everything again whether it be one zombie, four and my god the dogs.

It totally messes with how you would crowd manage in the originals

Incredible so far beautiful game scary as hell I agree with dezm0nd though the enemies are a bit spongy. I never got more than a few hours into the original younger me was too scared. This game has just kept me wanting more.

Soundtrack being more subtle makes sense now as through headphones you can make out where things are. I am currently
Spoiler: show
On danger with no spray or herbs being chased by Mr X. You can hear him stomping above or below
which is pretty terrifying.
