Mini Plaza gets an overhaul via system update. They have added 4 new games to it but at a price. Will hold off and see if they're worth it before taking the plunge. I barely street pass anyway so I can't see me forking out for more ways just yet.

Does anyone want a free copy of Monster Hunter 3 ultimate for 3DS?

It's as part of a promotion where as I registered a 3ds xl and monster hunter recently I get a copy to gift to someone.

To be eligible you need to register (or have registered) a 3ds or xl between 3rd June and 31st July.

Full details here
http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Campaig ... 60510.html

If anyone is interested post by this time tomorrow. If there's a few people I'll pick at random

Hopefully someone is eligible so it's not wasted

Yes, I am interested in this and I just checked and can confirm that I am eligible to claim the code as I only registered my 3DS XL on 5 June.

Nintendo Direct Mini today was full of fluff really apart from one piece of information. Earthbound is out on the Wii U Virtual Console right now for £6.99. The first time it has ever been released outside of Japan, I believe.

No, MOTHER 3 would be the first time outside of Japan. MOTHER 2 is the first time released in PAL territories. It definitely came out in America originally; I saw an original boxed copy of it go for over $500 at a convention in Chicago last year.

I remember Mother 3 looking SO good in previews for N64. Gutted it never saw the light of day, officially in English. I did play. Fan hack of it but couldn't get on with it at that time.

There's quite a few good picks on the eShop (Pullblox and Fallblox to start with); I'd start with a look at those, since three or four of them will cost the same as one "real" game.

Re: Nintendo Wii U

It's really been 6 months since this was last updated? oh my!

Anyway, here's the good news. Mario 3D World is out this month, one week after a brand new Zelda game. Nintendo wet dreams have come true.

Been back on the Wii U recently to polish off Pikmin 3 (quite lovely, last boss aside), and have a go at getting Wii Fit (not just regular fit, you understand). With Super Mario 3D World on the way and Rayman: Legends, ZombiU and The Wonderful 101 awaiting my attention, I can see that the Wii U is going to be getting a lot of play between now and the end of the year.

I need to download Wii Sports Club tennis and bowling next (£8.99 each from the Shop), and revive that 2007 multiplayer.

I can't see that getting a lot of attention during our wii u parties. Spin the Bottle, Wii Party U, Nintendoland (Mario Chase) and Game & Wario still get our attention! :)

It's quite weird seeing people play these games again after... 7 years? Crazy!

Not that weird. The vast majority of Wii customers bought it and never played anything but Wii Sports.

In any case, it's a good reminder that the WiiU is the most desirable next-gen console this holiday season.
