128 is the sweet spot for value and size. I've got about seventy games installed on my card and Switch, admittedly sixty of those are under 1Gb, comfortably, but that should do you. 200Gb occasionally go on sale but not managed to catch a deal yet.

Looks like the Switch has been hacked wide open. I won't link to the article here, but yep.

I must admit, the thought of a handheld that powerful running emulators excites me a great deal.

You can probably buy an android tablet that runs on the same cpu for far less than the price of a switch if all you care about is emulation in the go.

Yeah, I picked it up, my friend was supposed to be bring his 7-year-old daughter around who is craft mad but things changed so it never happened.

With God of War, I’ve not really been that attached to it, so I’ll wait for my crafting buddy to appear one weekend and we’ll all do it together then.

I am tempted to build the piano myself though, I must admit.

Do we have any idea when the next Nintendo Direct is supposed to take place?

I'm getting a bit nervous just waiting for certain infos to drop without any time frame to go on.

I had a wonder about that yesterday in fact man.

There’s an info dump on the online service this month that’s coming into effect later this year but nothing announced about a Direct.

That said, they tend to be announced only a few days before they actual happen.

Good to know, thanks. Silly minds think alike, I suppose!

I just hope there is one coming sooner rather than later. I want to know if I should start looking into a Switch or not.

I wonder you know if there’ll be anything before E3 now though dude.

What it is, 6 weeks away ?!?

I think there’ll be maybe a few info dumps on releases we know are coming or technical boring things like the online service but nothing that normally garnishes an exciting Direct.

Yes, that's fair. I don't need a Direct if they have a substantial E3 presentation this time around. But I'm under the impression that Nintendo has been slowly moving away from industry-wide events such as E3 and TGS and focusing more on proprietary events in recent years.

Yeah, they tend to do what they want, for what they feel is the best way to deliver their message.

I’ve gotten used to it now and in fact generally prefer the pre-recorded approach. It means you can get the message across exactly as its meant and tweak it until you have it as you want it.

Then follow that with a few mini live shows from the Treehouse and you have an engaging formula - I think.

Same here! I've grown to appreciate the way they communicate with their audience nowadays. Pre-recorded videos are usually factual and to-the-point. It's certainly less irritating to witness than the "crowd-pleasing" E3 nonsense where every developer thinks they're God's gift to stand-up comedy.

In any case, I just hope they hurry up!

It's not even that that I think misses the most with me, it's the whole building something up to be something that it's not, nor will ever be. It's gives things a sort of sinister shade I think.

The whole fanfare over Forza 7 last year, with a big stage, exclusive Porsche, lights, music the lot for what - another Forza game with 95% of the same tracks and cars.

It just feels limp.

Cut the rubbish and deliver a swave of info and what you've been working on, worked on and whats coming out. Stop painting lemons gold.

It's a mild frustration of mine currently.

Yes, it's a bit disingenuous, isn't it? I suppose it's due to the whole "gotta spend money to make money" mentality. If you throw enough cash around and generate enough buzz around your product, it will heighten your mind share / branding which will in turn have a positive effect on sales. Or so the idea goes, at least.

As some posters here are wont to correctly point out - this is a business first and foremost.

Nintendo still *go* to e3, they do a twitch stream from their stand for pretty much the whole show as well.

I expect the next direct video will be lined up with that, same as last year.
